Tips for a great Easter Egg Hunt
EASTER
MAD MAMA with DESME DANIELS
When my children were younger, I wanted to do something that not only involved my own children, but my nieces and nephews and friends’ children. So, we decided to organise an annual Easter Egg hunt. A fun way to bring everyone together while watching the kids have some good old-fashioned safe family fun, building memories and a tradition that will last for years to come.

So here are some tips
1. Agree a time and date that suits everyone and lock it in early. 2. Chose a location, depending on the age of the children; at someone’s house is a great location. 3. Decide on the number of clues and the number of children taking part to work out how many eggs and/or chocolate treats you need. You can also use plastic eggs with a treat inside. 4. Make sure you also have a bag or basket for each child to collect their eggs in. 5. Set aside some time to be creative with your clues. Start the kids off with clue 1 which leads to clue 2 and then again for however many you can come up with. 6. Give yourself plenty of time to hide the clues with the correct number of treats at each location. 7. Make sure the adults supervise and accompany the children to iron out any small differences that may happen on the way. 8. Have spares – just in case something goes wrong and one or two get lost on the way.
