collectors and operators to enable Council to obtain better data on the number of waste service operations in the district.

AquaBoard class a winner New domain loos ready The EA Networks Centre's newest class has been turning fitness on its head, with 25 eager participants braving the balanacing act to kick their fitness goals. Limited spots are still available for anyone keen to join in the action.

AquaBoard includes a combination of yoga and HIIT workouts/Tabata, which involves squats, press ups, sit ups and mountain climbers.

Anna Johnson, the Gym Supervisor at the Centre and one of the key figures behind bringing AquaBoard to Ashburton says it's fantastic to have the classes available, and that those already signed up are loving it.

Popular in fitness centres across Eurpoe and North America, Ashburton is one of the first places in New Zealand to have the AquaBoard classes available.

"It's great being able to provide something really different to the public. AquaBoard allows for a more challenging workout which isn't weight-bearing. "The people in our classes absolutely love it, and although it can be a little tough, they really enjoy it," she says.

These activities are performed while balancing on top of a board in the pool.

"We'd love to see even more people get in and have a go, so if you're keen to try it, get in touch with us," Anna adds. You can contact the EA Networks Centre during opening hours on 03 308 4020, drop into the Centre at 20 River Terrace, Ashburton or visit their website eanetworkscentre. co.nz/.

The wait is over...the new toilets at the Ashburton Domain playground are now open. The four cubical, unisex facility was opened earlier this month, replacing the old toilet block that has been demolished. The toilets were delivered to the Domain in May, where the roof was then installed and the facility hooked up to the wastewater system. Electrical issues were the last hold ups before the toilets were officially opened on 12 September.

leading from the carpark to the toilets. Picnic tables and more seating will also be provided soon. The original toilets were installed in 1984 and were representative of a popular design from the time, with separate sides for men and women. This is the third set of public toilets of this design that the Council has installed or replaced in the district; the first at Hinds in 2016 and the second at Lake Camp last year.

Staff have cleaned the facility and filled the dispensers with soap and paper. Included in the project is work to improve the aesthetics of the area, with plantings and new grass being added around the toilets. Council has also introduced three new carparks and a new path
