The Balkans have always intrigued me. The good, the bad, and the ugly—it has it all. Its history is both beautiful and painful. I look forward to feeling the vibes in the region. So from Kulala Lumpur, I flew into Prague, in the Czech Republic, to start off. Summer was really here; the heat was quite intense. I dripped sweat drops as big as grapes. Prague was old; well-preserved old buildings were strewn all over the city. I like to live in the present, but dwell on the past. There was so much old charm here.

This weekend, it got busier. My eyes were constantly kept busy, taking in the city’s historic beauties, but I kept yearning for more. How these buildings have been passed down for progeny, despite wars and development, tells of great wisdom and foresight. Now we can all relish beautiful flashbacks of Prague’s past. They just sit tight as the tourists’ dollars pour in.

The Balkans (/ˈbɔːlkənz/ BAWL-kənz), also known as the Bal kan Peninsula, is a geographic area in southeastern Europe with various geographical and historical definitions.[1][2]
[3] The region takes its name from the Balkan Mountains that stretch throughout the whole of Bulgaria. The Balkan Peninsula is bordered by the Adriatic Sea in the northwest, the Ionian Sea in the southwest, the Aegean Sea in the south, the Turkish Straits in the east, and the Black Sea in the northeast. The northern border of the peninsula is vari ously defined.[4] The highest point of the Balkans is Mount Musala, 2,925 metres (9,596 ft), in the Rila mountain range, Bulgaria.
