These courses are suitable for anyone involved in fundraising or wanting to develop fundraising skills in the arts/cultural sector. NETWORKING AND MAKING THE ASK Do you find the idea of developing relationships with donors and funders daunting and then, worse still, asking for money? This introductory course with FRANCES TIPPER will help you make the right first impression, develop rapport with potential donors and funders, and feel comfortable about asking for money.

PRACTICAL DIGITAL FUNDRAISING How do you go about optimising your website, e-marketing and social media in order to raise funds? This one-day introductory course is full of practical advice and exercises in using digital tools to fundraising for an organisation on a tight budget. HOWARD LAKE will guide you through what digital fundraising tools are available to you, and how you choose the right ones for your organisation.

PLANNING A FUNDRAISING STRATEGY It is often difficult to sit back and get a bit of perspective on where you want to go with your fundraising. What is right for your organisation might not be right for another. RUTH JARRATT will enable you to understand the different methods of fundraising, and will give you a step-by-step process to follow, and a framework you can adapt for your own organisation.

USING AND MANAGING DATA IN FUNDRAISING In an age when organisations are becoming swamped with data, how can you make best use of it to enhance and develop your fundraising? The Audience Agency’s LEO SHARROCK will demonstrate the importance of data, and will help you to understand the practical tools and skills required to harness its potential for fundraising.

WRITING STRONG FUNDING APPLICATIONS Applying to trusts and foundations for funding is very competitive. Giving your application the best chance of success depends on rigorously matching your project to the funder’s priorities and communicating the strengths of the project powerfully and succinctly. RUTH JARRATT will take you through the application process, giving you a set of practical steps to follow in developing a bid, and tips regarding the do’s and don’ts of strong application writing.
