How will I learn?

The third year of the programme is a production year in which you gain experience of performing in public. You will normally perform in 3 productions, one of which is a filmed showreel presentation, the others fully staged musicals. Each musical has a minimum of 7 performances and plays in one of ArtsEd’s professionally staffed theatres. Each production rehearses for between 6 and 7 weeks. For the showreel you will rehearse and perform two songs, chosen in consultation with your singing tutors and the Head of Music. You will perform one song in full, and a shortened version of another contrasting song. The performance will be filmed in an ArtsEd theatre, with production support. The edited films will be presented on the ArtsEd website, and links sent to agents, casting directors and other industry professionals. You are required to audition for each of the productions in front of an audition panel consisting of the director, musical director and choreographer together with the Director of the School or their representative. The panel, in deciding on casting, takes into consideration your suitability for the role while keeping in mind the need to provide all students with suitable performance opportunities. During performance weeks you will participate in compulsory company class consisting of full vocal and physical warm ups, focusing exercises and clean up

calls. Company class may be led by creatives, in-house staff or dance and voice captains. Recent and Future Productions:
