How do I pass Year 3 Skills?

You must pass all three components of Year 3 Skills. You will be assessed on your classwork in all three components in the Autumn and Spring terms. Classes will continue in term 3, but will not be included in the assessment scheme. The marks in each component are weighted as follows:

Year 3 Skills 45

Dance

Singing

Acting

Jazz Ballet Tap

60% 25% 15% Singing Technique50% Repertoire 50% Song Workshop n/a Acting for Camera 70% Speech and Voice 30% Your overall mark for the module is calculated as an average of the marks for Dance, Singing and Acting, and carries a weighting of 20% of your overall degree mark.

Year 3 Professional Employment Skills 15

How do I pass Year 3 Professional Employment Skills?

You are required to participate in all classes and to pass the Professional Practice Portfolio, but no marks will be awarded and the module has no weighting in the calculation of the Year 3 overall mark.

Compensation between Modules

There is no provision for compensation within or between modules on the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre.

Re-sit Provision

If you fail a module, you may be given the opportunity to re-sit those elements which you did not pass. Re-sit provision for the different elements of the programme may be available as follows:
