A Star in the Making Buskers are common in Norwich city centre – especially at the weekend. Busy shoppers and workers sometimes hesitate, listen for a short while and maybe donate a few coins. But one busker in particular has stood out in recent months. Attractive flame-haired Hayley Moss, 29 of Horning, has been drawing crowds; literally stopping people in their tracks as she sings a range of operatic songs, show tunes and country music on London Street and Gentleman’s Walk. People have described Hayley’s voice as “mesmerising”, “amazing”,“beautiful” and “pure”. Pedestrians feel compelled to stop, listen and donate; some saying that Hayley is not so much busking as providing an open air concert! They express

amazement that such a high quality singer is performing on the streets, instead of a West End stage. Amazingly, Hayley has received no formal voice training. Hayley is determined to make it big in the music business, but insists that she will never act “diva-like”, preferring to be friendly down-to-earth and approachable.
