Intricate craftsmanship and artistry on stone carvings can be seen in homes, iconic buildings and even tombs around Singapore. We invite you to listen to Ang Yik Han as he uncovers stories literally set in stone that reveal gems from the past.
Ang Ku Kueh Girl is born out of a desire to connect self to people to community. It is one woman’s personal Project Singapore, set to embrace more and more people in a journey of rediscovering. Using local pastries much loved in Singapore but little known outside our homeland, Shijia and her team created Ang Ku Kueh Girl and Friends. Journey with Shijia to uncover how her dream for a Singapore-themed product went from idea to a manifestation of local food culture to functional designs.
This programme is part of Esplanade’s National Day Celebrations 2013 festival, themed “I LIke Singapore...”
