Yokohama makes trailer tire available
Yokohama Tire Corp.’s latest commercial truck tire, the Yokohama 121T, is available in the United States. The tire comes in two sizes — 215/75R17.5 and 235/75R17.5 — and has been designed for trailer axle applications. Rated for severe snow performance, the Yokohama 121T features a threegroove tread pattern; serpentine grooves that evacuate water; a precisely engineered concave lug for extra grip; and a ridged shoulder design that minimizes wear and improves straight-line stability.

American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has added to its Hercules Strong Guard medium truck tire line with the introduction of the Strong Guard H-MA, a premium, mixed-service, all-position product. Features include large siped tread blocks; a rugged, four-rib design; deeper tread depth and up to 10% wider tread width for enhanced stability; 15% wider steel belts for casing protection; and more. The Strong Guard H-MA is available in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5 and 275/70R22.5. Another is on the way.

Bandag drive tire tread rolls out
The new Bandag B713 FuelTech drive tire tread from Bridgestone Americas Inc. is SmartWayverified and delivers long-lasting service life, improved traction, irregular wear minimization and other features, including a new proprietary compound, 3D siping and a continuous shoulder design. The Bandag B713 FuelTech is available in sizes 210, 220, 230 and 240.

ZC Rubber tires are SmartWay-certi ed
Zhongce Rubber Group Co. Ltd. (ZC Rubber) reports that two of its medium truck tires — the Arisun AT552 (pictured) and the Westlake AZ599 — have earned SmartWay verification. The Arisun AT522 is a trailer axle tire that is designed for intermodal use. The Westlake AZ599 is for steer and trailer applications. It contains ZC Rubber’s PSCT Technology, plus four wide tread grooves and multiple sipes for extra traction and water evacuation.

Nokian Tyres plc has added three sizes to its Ground Kare OTR tire line, which targets excavators and other machines. The sizes include 710/40-22.5, which boasts an extra-large footprint for working on soft ground; 600/50-22.5, which is designed for smaller machines; and the 620/60-30, which offers enhanced load-bearing capacity. All three sizes are available in North America.

Maxam OTR tire series gets more sizes
Maxam Tire North America has added sizes 370/75-28 and 400/75-28 to its MS915 OTR tire series. The MS915 features a deep, non-directional tread pattern, a wide footprint, wear- and cut-resistant compounds for enhanced toughness and traction, and more. The tire has been engineered for use on graders and telehandlers.
