This particular one, with the unusual pierced openings in the curving legs, was intended for Madame de Pompadour. The table was left unfinished at the time of Oeben's death in 1761. Art Heritage table is made of beech wood with veneer marquetry on tabletop and sides. The tabletop frame, corners and feet are ornamented with bronze mounts.
