Cinecittà est l’hollywood italien situé en périphérie de Rome. C’est un complexe de studios internationaux de qualité et d’excellence créés en 1937. Cinecittà a un historique assez important avec ses 3000 productions réalisées par des réalisateurs tels que Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Mel Gibson and Anthony Minghella ou encore des directeurs artistiques italiens tels que Federico Fellini ou Luchino Visconti pour n’en citer que quelques uns. En 2009 le «Cinetow Skatepark» est né dans la région de Cinecittà, un vrai park construit par Concrete Skateparks qui a collaboré sur le projet avec l’association sportive Madeathome et HoodBmx. Depuis les débuts du skatepark se tient un évènement, les «BMX Wild Games», et lors de la dernière édition, des riders tels que Maxime Chaveron, Bruno Hoffman, Harry Main and Arthur Dietric étaient invités. Le meilleur rider pro italien était Simone «Kid» Barraco et tous les 50 participants du contest attendaient avec impatience de le voir rouler. En particulier Bruno Hoffman, car tous les deux ont un style et des tricks assez similaires. Tous les participants, amateurs ou pros, sont venus de toute l’Italie, pour se confronter aux meilleurs riders du monde entier, ce qui fut une belle surprise pour tous les spectateurs romains. Maxime, Bruno et Harry faisait partie du jury car aucun d’entres eux ne participaient au contest mais uniquement aux démos avec Simone Barraco. Ils nous ont d’ailleurs montré de très jolis tricks. Le Cinetown Skatepark avait été spécialement transformé pour l’occasion en «Western Spaghetti» avec des cactus, buffles, mottes de foin, tentes d’indiens, un staff habillé en shérifs alors que les riders étaient déguisés en voleurs. Simone «Kid» Barraco a commencé sa journée en remportant la bunny hop race contre un des meilleurs internationaux, le très fort Bruno Hoffman. Après son premier podium il remporta aussitôt le contest de street en catégorie «Expert», il sera juste devant le talentueux français Artur Dietrich et la légende italienne Fabio Limonta. Fabio est très connu pour sa manière d’interéagir avec le public mais aussi pour ses gros transfers et le fait qu’il flip par dessus tout, etc. Pendant la journée, il y a eu plusieurs runs, avec des qualifications et des finales pour les experts et les débutants. J’ai d’ailleurs vu deux riders italiens très prometteurs dans cette dernière catégorie. David Altobelli, un rider local, avec un style très clean et très technique mais en particulier George Rosolac d’origine russe mais qui vit désormais à Rome avec un style purement street. Dans la catégorie des experts, ce n’était pas une grande surprise de voir Simone Barraco en haut du podium avec ses lignes si parfaites, Arthur Dietrich en revanche était assez surprenant avec son savoir faire en technique et bien entendu n’oublions pas les transferts et black flips de Fabio Limonta. Dans la catégorie des débutants, Elia Pedosti a remporté la première place et a gagné un bmx KINK BKE CO. En fin de journée a eu lieu la compétition du «Monster Best Trick», chaque rider devait montrer son meilleur trick. Filippo Ferri de Rimini a gagné avec un backflip rock to fakie. Le BMX italien aura toujours besoin d’un évènement tel que les Wild Games, non seulement pour les gens qui viennent de toute l’Italie, pour les pros et amateurs qui ont passé toute la journée ensemble mais aussi pour le plaisir et la joie de gens comme Fabio Pacifici de HoodBmx.

Cinecittà has a long and distinguished history that includes more than 3,000 productions by filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Mel Gibson and Anthony Minghella, as well as many Italian directors like Federico Fellini or Luchino Visconti, to name just a few. In the district of Cinecittà was born in 2009 a skatepark, «Cinetown Skatepark», carried out by Concrete Skateparks in conjunction with MadeatHome sport association and HoodBmx.. From the beginning of the skatepark there is an event organized «Bmx Wild Games» and in the latest edition, were invited international riders such as Maxime Chaveron, Bruno Hoffman, Harry Main and Arthur Dietrich. The best Italian pro at this event was Simone «Kid» Barraco, and all 50 participants were waiting to see him in action against the international riders, especially with Bruno Hoffman with whom he has similarity in style and speed tricks. All participants came from all over Italy, the pros and amateurs, to have a confrontation with the best, this for the large audience in Rome was a nice surprise. Maxime, Bruno and Harry were part of the jury for the contest, because they have not participated in the race but only two demos along with Simone Barraco, where they showed all their best tricks. The Cinetown Skatepark in the occasion of the «Hood Games BMX Wild» has been transformed into a set of a Spaghetti Western with cactuses, buffalo, bales of hay and Indian tents, staff dressed as sheriffs while bikers inevitably dresses as outlaws. Simone «Kid» Barraco started the day by winning the afternoon race Bunny Hop beating one of the invited international athletes, the strongest Bruno Hoffman. After this first podium, Simone also won the top step of the main event, Street in «Expert» category, behind the talented french Arthur Dietrich and the Italian legend Fabio Limonta. Fabio is famous for his unique way of spectator’s involvement during his great show and also to be able to perform big transfers, flip over everything, etc. During the day, there were several runs, with qualifications and finals, by «Experts» and «Beginners», particularly in this last category, I have seen two guys very promising for the Italian scene of bmx, David Altobelli, local rider, with a technical and clean style and more remarkable George Rosolac born in Russia but now living in Rome, with a purely street-style. In the «Experts» category instead there weren’t any surprise to see at the first step of the podium Simone Barraco, with his lines always perfect, also Arthur Dietrich was surprising with his now well-known and technical level, then how can we forget Fabio Limonta transfert and his big backflip. In the “Beginners” category the winner was Elia Pedosti, and he won a complete bike from KINK BIKE CO. At the end of the day is the time of the «Monster Best Trick» where each rider has performed the best of himself and the winner was Filippo Ferri from Rimini with a backflip rock to fakie. BMX in Italy would ever need events like Wild Games, for the large audience of enthusiasts coming from all over Italy, for the professionals and beginners who have spent a whole day together, but also because of people full of enthusiasm as Fabio Pacifici of HoodBmx.
