Florent Soulas, vous voyez de qui je parle ? Ce rider qui déchaîne les foules chaque année durant les VU et qui nous a tous cloué sur ses web videos. Florent est sans aucun doute l’un des acteurs du milieu qui tout en restant discret fait parler de lui uniquement avec son riding. Même en retrait et présent que sur très peu d’events, il gagne le cœur de tous et nous assomme avec ses lignes souvent impensables encore à ce jour. Ta plus grosse boite : A la Roche sur Yon, en transfert de bowl à bowl avec le béton qui t’arrache bien la peau. Tes potes de riding : Les Rochelais en général, Adrien, Alex, Ben, Topher, Jee, Léo, Nico... et les riders de la Roche. Ton meilleur trip : Barcelone cette année. Le type de musique qui influence ton riding : Je roule sans musique, ça me stresse, mais je suis plus métal à la base. Tes projets d’avenir : En ce moment nous faisons construire une maison dans les alentours de la Rochelle pour la petite famille. A part ça j’espère continuer à rouler régulièrement. Les riders qui t’influencent : Caleb pour ses nose, Garett et Matthias Dandois qui a un riding vraiment hallucinant. Ta nourriture favorite : Peu m’importe mais j’évite la bouffe chimique et trop industrielle. Ta vision sur le bmx en général : J’ai une vision positive du bmx. La seule chose que je trouve dommage c’est les barrières entre les disciplines, du genre race/dirt ou encore le flat qui est complètement isolé du reste. Un dernier mot : Un gros merci à ma copine pour sa patience et un gros bisous à Côme qui va avoir un an. Florent Soulas, you know who I mean? That rider who drives the crowds wild each year at the VUs and who renders us speechless with his web videos. Florent is possibly one of the main actors in the scene, who despite being very discreet, is famous only through his riding; even though he is so withdrawn, and only participating in few events, he has won everyone’s heart, and knocks us out with his unthinkable runs. Your biggest fall : At La Roche sur Yon, in a transfer from bowl to bowl, with the cement tearing at my skin. Your riding mates : Generally guys from La Rochelle, Adrien, Alex, Ben, Topher, Jee, Leo, Nico... and also riders from La Roche sur Yon. Your best trip: Barcelona, this year. The type of music that influences your riding: I don’t ride with music, it stresses me out, but I’m into metal otherwise. Your projects for the future: At the moment, we are getting a house built for my little family. Apart from that, I hope I can carry on riding on a regular basis. The riders who influence you: Caleb for his noses, Garett and Matthias Dandois who really does incredible riding. Your favourite food: I don’t really care, although I do try to avoid stuff which is too chemical and industrial. Your vision of BMX in general: I see BMX in a positive light. The only thing I find a pity is the fact that there are so many barriers between the different sports, like between race and dirt, or flat which is completely isolated.
