Major items include a complete set of John Pinkerton's Voyages and Travels 1808-1814; Lieut A. Burnes - Travels into Bokhara [1834]; Dr Samuel Collins - The Present State of Russia [1671]; J. Baillie Fraser - Travels in Koordistan, Mesopotamia [1840]; a collection of early legal books including The Trial of Joseph Wall.
Other entries include a first edition of Walter Lawry Buller's History of the Birds of New Zealand; land lease document for the Drury Church dated 1862 and with George Augustus Selwyn's seal; a rare edition of the Vicar of Wakefield [1817] with 24 colour plates by Thomas Rowlandson; de luxe edition of The Tempest illustrated by Edmund Dulac.
