Giving-circle food bank support grows The Rumbly Tummy Giving Circle is a generous and caring group of families, individuals, schools, and businesses dedicated to the monthly collection of food to assist the Arnprior and District Food Bank. This initiative was the inspiration of Darlene Denis-Friske, husband Kevin, sister Lynda and mom Corrine in February 2010, and was soon joined by many of their friends, neighbours, companies and schools. Among the active supporters are the Arnprior Child and Youth Counseling Centre, The Kenwood Kafe, The Kenwood Corporate Centre, General Electric, Mather Insurance, Ontario Early Years Centre, Cornerstone Dental Group, St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Arnprior

District High School. Over the past year this committed group has donated about 30 grocery bags of canned and dry goods each month to help feed those in need. On May 15, the donation was in excess of 57 bags of groceries and generous cash donations. The Rumbly Tummy Giving Circle meets once a month at the Ontario Early Years Centre to gather/drop off donations, which are then brought to the food bank. The circle invites others who would like to become involved in this dedicated support of the important and vital work of the local food bank. Call Corrine at 613-623-2416 if you would like more information, or, to join.
