MS TOOWOOMBA SWIMATHON
WHEN: Saturday, February 15, from 6am to 6pm WHERE: Highfields Fitness & Recreation Centre, 9 Community Ct, Highfields WHAT: Fight MS by making a splash with this annual event. The MS Swimathon encourages people to form teams of at least six and participate in a 12-hour relay. The Swimathon is for anyone and everyone whether they swim freestyle, breaststroke, sidestroke, or even doggy paddle. It is all about getting involved, having fun and raising funds and awareness for people living with MS. This funding supports access to services including service coordination, physiotherapy, counselling and mindfulness. Entry costs from $20 to $75 and you can sign up at msswimathon.com.au GINA JEFFREYS BEAUTIFUL TANGLE TOUR
WHEN: Saturday, February 15, from 8pm WHERE: Empire Theatre, 56 Neil Street, Toowoomba City WHAT: After taking a 12 year break from recording and touring, Gina Jeffreys returns to centre stage with a stunning new album ‘Beautiful Tangle’ – a beautifully sung collection of exquisite songs, all co-written by Gina, all pages of her life. Gina will showcase many of her new songs as she explores a rollercoaster of emotions that will immediately connect with her legion of fans. But she will still dip into the past and perform her old fan favourites. Gina will be joined by special guests Rod McCormack and Max Jackson.
