s a bartender in Jindabyne, Wade Fiechtner saw a disc jockey playing and started up a conversation. Soon after, he got his own equipment. It was a rough start for the teenager who was a self-proclaimed train wreck in the beginning. With lots and lots of practice, Wade found himself performing where it all started and delivered his first gig at the Jindabyne Station Resort. And so, the creation of DJ Thrump began, although the name didn’t last and he evolved from that alias to his actual name, Wade Feichtner. “The name DJ Thrump was a little cringe, so I just felt that the change to my real name was a good move.” Wade performs at nightclubs around Toowoomba and has even travelled to the Gold Coast for some notable events. “My biggest would be playing the Schoolies 2019 Beach Stage ... it was such a vibe,” he says.
