Armathwaite Hall

The Wonders of Winter

Dear Guests,

As the winter season embraces us with its crisp air and post-festive spirit, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all of you.

Armathwaite Hall is committed to providing you with an unforgettable experience filled with luxury, comfort and exceptional service.

We look forward to welcoming you and making your winter

Warm regards,

Introducing The Grill

We are delighted to introduce our brandnew dining experience, The Grill – Steak and Seafood Restaurant. Specialising in locally sourced produce, this new dining location offers hotel guests and locals alike a fresh new menu to enjoy, amongst sumptuous surroundings.

Our Executive Chef, Chris Lee, has crafted a mouthwatering menu with an interesting contemporary twist. We use only the best, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible

– including cuts of quality beef, some of which come from our very own herd of Belted Galloway cows.

Chris’s menu also includes delicious vegetarian and vegan options, while our varied drinks menu features a range of complementary wines and cocktails.

Chef commented: “This new restaurant concept is all about showcasing the best of British produce in a relaxed, contemporary setting.”

Winter Weddings

This wedding season has seen the addition of our fantastic Donut Wall. Give your wedding guests an extra treat with a wonderful spread of ring donuts in a variety of colours and flavours that they can simply reach out and take from the display.

Sure to brighten up your wedding reception, our Donut Wall is quickly becoming a firm guest favourite. Eye-catching, different and – most importantly – utterly delicious! Full display of 76 donuts for £90 – display included.

Previous guests of the hotel may remember our Courtyard Bar and Brasserie – thanks to a £150,000 investment, we were able to completely redesign this restaurant as The Grill. The fully refurbished interior now perfectly blends the welcoming hospitality we are known for with the natural beauty of our home, the Lake District.

Armathwaite Hall’s General Manager, Simon Steele, commented: “With The Grill, we are offering something different: a more relaxed

option for those who want to enjoy topquality cuisine in a beautiful, friendly setting.

“Whether diners are staying with us or simply visiting the area, we look forward to welcoming both locals and hotel guests to this brand-new dining experience.”

We cannot wait for you to try The Grill – we hope you love the gorgeous new design and delicious menu as much as we do.

The Grill is open every day from 12pm–9pm.

Armathwaite Spa is pleased to introduce two brand-new treatments to add to our award-winning facilities. Our revitalising Ice Fountain and healing Salt Steam Room.

Visit the Ice Fountain for a special, cooling experience. Revitalise your skin with soothing ice – rubbing ice flakes into your skin helps to expand and contract your veins, stimulating your circulation, while strengthening the immune system.

As a spa guest, you may repeat your Ice Fountain experience as often as you like during your time with us.

For those who prefer the heat to the cold, our Salt Steam Room is the perfect treatment. This rejuvenating treatment features a typical operating temperature in the region of 40–45 degrees and virtually 100% humidity.

This softer heat and high humidity are combined with the added benefit of our salt inhalation injection system, infusing the air with a high salt content for extra respiratory and skin health benefits.

For added benefits, the Salt Steam Room may have essences such as eucalyptus and menthol infused into the steam – this will help maintain regular and clear breathing. We recommend you enjoy a few minutes in the Salt Steam Room at a time, for a maximum of thirty minutes, taking cooling showers in between. Once you have finished your session, relax for a few minutes and allow your body to return to its normal temperature – a nice, cooling drink will help to replace some of the fluids lost during your experience.

We cannot wait to welcome you to Armathwaite Spa to enjoy these brand-new treatments.
