Servicebulletinsprovidethelatestservicetips,fieldrepairs,productimprovements,andrelatedinformation.Someservicebulletinsareupdatestoinformationintheworkshop/servicemanual.Thesebulletinstakeprecedenceover workshop/servicemanualinformation,untilthelatterisupdated;atthattime,the bulletinisusuallycanceled.Theservicebulletinsmanualisavailableonlyto dealers.Whendoingserviceworkonavehiclesystemorpart,checkforavalid servicebulletinforthelatestinformationonthesubject.

Thetableunder MaintenanceIntervalTable shows whichmaintenanceoperationsetmustbeperformed attheactualdistances(milesandkilometers)oractualmonthsofoperationforeachmaintenancecategory.Thescheduleofactualdistances(and months)isbasedontheintervalsgivenintheVehicleMaintenanceScheduleTable.

Thetableunder MaintenanceOperationSets lists,in numericalorder,thetextreferencenumbersanddescriptionsof all maintenanceoperations,andindicatesallmaintenanceoperationsetsatwhicheach operationmustbeperformed.

Use

Beforeplacingyournewvehicleinservice,determine themaintenancecategory(CategoryIorII)thatappliestoyourintendeduseofthevehicle.Seethe VehicleMaintenanceScheduleTabletodetermine thedistance(ortime)intervalatwhicheachmaintenanceoperationsetmustbeperformedforyourcategoryofvehicle.

Whenthevehiclereachestheactualdistance(or months)givenforaninterval,seetheMaintenance IntervalTabletofindthemaintenanceoperationset thatappliestothatinterval.ThenperformthemaintenanceoperationslistedintheapplicableMaintenanceIntervalOperationstable.Usethemaintenanceoperationreferencenumberstofind instructionsinthemanualforcompletionofeachoperation.

Completeeachmaintenanceoperationsetattherequiredinterval.Then,whenyouhavecompleted maintenanceoperationsetM3underthe12thMaintenanceNumberlistedintheMaintenanceInterval

Table,repeatthepattern.The13thMaintenance NumberwillbeginatmaintenanceoperationsetM1, underthe1stMaintenanceNumberlistedinthe MaintenanceIntervalTable.

NOTE:Whenperformingoperationsforthe13th MaintenanceNumber,completetheM1operationsonly,nottheInitialMaintenanceoperations.
