Dear Editor,

My family and I are offering a generous reward to whoever can reunite us with a long-lost family heirloom, an Edwardian piano stool that had been in the family for over 100 years and came to us as a wedding present for my great-greatgrandfather. About five years ago, that piano stool was lost by a removal company when my grandparents moved house, which caused my father and grandparents a lot of grief as they all had a lot of fond memories of it. So, I'm sure you can imagine our surprise when photos of it recently appeared on the website of Pianoman, a piano shop in Arlesey! Unfortunately, it had already been sold, all we know is it was bought by someone from "the Stotfold area" .

We are prepared to offer a generous reward to whomever currently has it (beyond what was paid for it within reason) in exchange for its return to us. It has a distinctive plaque on the front bearing my great-great-grandfather's name, Mr Charles Henry Sainsbury.

Finally, I want to add we're not accusing anyone of any wrongdoing we just want it back safe and sound.

Many Thanks

Mr G Frost.

The Arlesey Brownies have been having plenty of fun outdoors. We’ve made boats and had our own regatta, done an “escape tent challenge” – playing wide games (can you guess who got lost in the woods?) and making marmalade sandwiches blindfolded, and cooled down with a water fight! This term, we’ve been climbing and tried archery at a Division activity day. Brownies offers girls (aged 7 to 10) exciting opportunities to try new things, take on challenges, discover their potential, make brilliant friends and above all have fun!

If you’d like to join us (or put your name on the waiting list if you’re not quite 7) then register at www.girlguiding.org.uk/joinus, or email us at arlesey.brownies@hotmail.co.uk.
