Candidate Inquiry Questions

1. Tell us about your conversion experience. 2. Describe your call to pastoral ministry and your view of the role of the pastor in a local church.

3. Describe your style of leadership, including your preference in structuring the decisionmaking process of the church. 4. Describe your approach to planning and delivering sermons. 5. Describe your practice of evangelism/outreach including any programs, events, and training that you prefer to utilize personally and through the church. 6. Is your church’s current level of Cooperative Program and other missions giving consistent with your personal preference? How would you like to see it change? 7. Describe your philosophy for working with different age groups in the church (children, youth, adults, older adults). Is there an age group with which you feel most comfortable? 8. What is your understanding of the role of deacons in the church? 9. Describe your participation in the local Baptist association, state convention, and national convention. 10.
