In a career that involved years working in the finance and real estate sectors, Jay Edwards now feels thankful to be focused on what he really loves – writing.
Edwards graduated from Catholic High and moved on to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he majored in finance and real estate. But the advice from Father Tribou must have lingered, as he also enrolled in numerous university writing classes.
He has found fulfillment at the Daily Record in Little Rock, currently serving as managing editor of a publication that focuses on legal, business and real estate news in Central Arkansas.
Edwards has written columns and articles for the Daily Record over the years and especially enjoys the comprehensive profile features he produces on a regular basis. The publication is printed at Monticello under the guidance of Tom White, who served with Edwards on the board of directors of the Arkansas Press Association. Edwards also served on the board of the Arkansas Newspaper Foundation.
