The ABA, in partnership with other bank associations around the country, is proud to offer our members this exciting training opportunity! Participants will learn how to assess and analyze a bank’s financial performance by working with data from real institutions…and much more! In the final session of this course, participants will put what they have learned into practice. Participants will analyze a new data set, rate the bank’s performance and suggest strategic adjustments that might benefit the bank..

BREAKING INTO BANKING: 101 FUNDAMENTALS OF

Commercial Lending

Commercial banking can be intimidating because of its complexity and the risk-oriented nature of the work. This virtual course is a clear and thorough introduction to the key concepts, terminology, and processes involved in credit and lending. It doesn’t assume much prior knowledge of the topic, so it’s ideal for those in their first year in the industry. Learners will walk away with a clear understanding of their job and how their specific role fits into the bank’s overall profitability goals.

Loan Assistants And Processors Workshop

This program is designed to provide lending knowledge and administrative effectiveness of one of the most important positions in a community bank’s lending staff – the loan assistant/loan processor. All of the objectives of this program are directed at increasing the performance effectiveness of these individuals. This session is perfect for loan assistants and loan processors, credit administration supervisors, and other members of the bank’s loan support staff with credit administration responsibilities.

ADVANCED BSA/ AML COMPLIANCE SCHOOL

In order to meet the ongoing regulatory requirements, we are pleased to offer this Advanced BSA/AML compliance program. This two-day virtual event focuses on the latest changes in BSA and offers tips and tools to develop and manage an “adequate” and “an effective and reasonably designed” BSA program. Attendees will receive a Training Program Manual, an updated FFIEC BSA/ AML Examination Manual, a Resource Manual (packed with examples, forms, templates, handouts), and opportunities to network with peers on current challenges and trends.

BREAKING INTO BANKING: 201 ANALYZING REPAYMENT SOURCES

This is a sequel to the Breaking into Banking 101 course. This course includes a case study and dives deeper into topics including: analyzing a borrower’s balance sheet, income statement, collateral, and risk ratings. This course is most appropriate for credit analysts, lenders, portfolio managers, and others who need skills in financial statement analysis and writing credit documents.
