notMYkid Launches Valley Wide Back-to-School Campaign
As families prepare to go back to school in the coming weeks, notMYkid, a national nonprofit organization, is kicking off an Abuse Prevention Campaign aimed at encouraging parents to drug test their children. The campaign begins in Phoenix July 29 and will span 15 cities across the United States, giving away more than 2,500 free home drug test kits. Bar Lion’s Camp Tatyie Fundraiser at Salut Kitchen Bar
Join Salut Kitchen Bar in Tempe for an evening of fun, food and goodwill! The Mediterranean-American restaurant will be hosting a fundraiser and reunion event for local nonprofit and special needs camp, Lion’s Camp Tatiyee. Since 1958 Lions Camp Tatiyee is the only organization in Arizona that provides individuals with special needs the opportunity to spend a week away from home in the White Mountains enjoying activities and meeting new friends, all free-of-charge. For generations, campers having gained a newfound independence and confidence that comes with trying new activities and challenging personal limits and this past summer. In an effort to support the camp and celebrate the campers and camp counselors return, Salut will be hosting a fundraiser event. On Sunday, Aug. 16, Salut will donate 20-percent of the proceeds from select beverages and Hummus Nacho throughout the day. Salut Kitchen Bar is located at 1435 E University Dr., in Tempe.
