HIGH CUISINE RESTAURANT/MUSEUM THE TASTING ROOM
LOCATION: LYON, FRANCE
Upon entering the fig and fois gras room the diner realises the room is less of a room and more of podium. A small platform sits in the centre of the room surrounded by a shallow pool of water.

The passageway becomes an architectural trigger that opens a discourse not of food and consumption, but of taste and event.
ENTRANCE ROOM BREAD AND BUTTER ROOM
Golden flutes supporting a handrail leading to a space that delights with fizzing atmosphere and golden liquidy walls. An architecture of exhuberent delight.
Melting walls meet rising floors. The kiln becomes a known mantlepiece vernacular within the space that softens to a creamy architecture. Copper columns hold the spread.
Eventually the bread cracks and opens to a velvet space. The diner is absorbed in wine-stained walls that leave the eyes drunk from chamfered pattern.
High polished chrome, patinaed bronze and handblown glass champagne flute.

I successfully developed this well-being club over the past year and a half. As both owner and designer I was responsible for the concept design stage, through to full interior design including furniture and lighting strategies. I successfully navigated material and labour supply chains within a Russian context to deliver the project. I developed the PR and marketing strategies both for online and offline presences. Given my skills in graphic design I created the branding. I sourced and trained all staff members to deliver a unique luxury experience to our clients. After overseeing the launch I maintained my role managing the business in day to day operations, keeping track of current trends within the high end spa and well-being space, to ensure MANA’ORA’s success as a premier luxury well-being club in Sochi.
An article in a national magazine featuring my central role as Founder and CEO, managing the project and people that made MANA’ORA a key destination in Sochi to experience high end wellness treatments within a luxury setting.
