ML MACAMPAGNE STATION

Landscaping and External design Bachelor project Level 3

Team work - Residential - Commercial Project

INTRODUCTION

Thsi project have 2336.13m2, is at Reference point of the macampangne district in the municipality of ngaliema, the ML station commonly called macampangne station is a space that no longer really needs to be presented. it is located on the strategic road leading to the city center and faces several bars which makes it a place with a good view of the city.

To take advantage of this reputation, we were asked to design commercial facilities that could offer the population of this district, reputed to be one of the most upscale in the city, quality services in terms of commerce, accommodation and catering.

This is why the ML Mall project aims to be a dynamic setting in which the marriage between luxury boutique, restaurant and bed and breakfast will be able to be done in the most beautiful way. surrounded by three avenues, this space gives rise to 3 axes of horizontal circulation allowing the interoperability of this place which must meet all the functional requirements of a commercial space.

SITES ANALYSIS AND CONTEXT

The project site is located in the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo which is Kinshasa.

The bloc is in the commune of Ngaliema, at the crossroads of avenues kasavubu and macampangne. Currently on this land there is a gas station called «ML station», a supermarket block, a training center and a church.

SITE STUDY

The study of the land to allow a good composition allowed us to clear the following spaces:

• open-air pedestrian space in yellow, • the pedestrian space under stilts in green, • the space for rents and interior sales • finally a parking area not far from the church.

It should be noted that the various existing buildings on the land will be razed to make way for the future commercial structure.

The different floors of our building are mainly made up of shops on the ground floor, on the first floor we have the laundry services as well as the restaurants, from the second to the fourth floor we have mainly the hotel rooms and on the terrace of the fifth level will just receive an open restaurant with private consumption boxes.

The facade of this building will be similar to the faces of a waffle with very visible apparent structures and openings acting as a window plus balcony.

ROOF TERRACE

The building’s roof terrace will also receive vegetation to create a green space and harmonize the decor above. the development of this terrace will make it possible to create boxes which will receive a private clientele, with a roof which allows light to pass through and soft lighting.

START-UP PRODUCING AND SUPPLYING RENEWABLE ELECTRICAL ENERGY

Individual work-Management-Production Project

INTRODUCTION

«Architecture, sublime and magnificent play of forms in light.» LE CORBUSIER

Population growth continues to increase, and every citizen has the right to a better life, to benefit from advanced comfort in each place and each space of which he is the user in order to accomplish his various activities and uses.

SNEL, being so far the leading energy production and supply company in the DRC for years, has shown its limits and is no longer able to fully perform this task, as it has distinguished itself by a lack maintenance of its devices and poor management of its equipment.

So in order to eliminate the black pockets in and around the big cities, in the remote localities as well as the districts with low energy consumption, we thought of developing or designing local units of production and supply of electricity, START-Ups. hence the purpose of this topic.

SITE CONTEXT

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION

The site of 7ha of area is located in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the province of Tanganyika, in the ancient municipality of Manono, which has become a city today.

The land on which we intend to set up the project is located near the city center of Manono, in the KITOTOLO district, on the main axis (main arrow) of the city, which goes from the Airport of Manono, passes by the Cathedral of Sainte Barbe until the National N ° 33 which connects this city to the capital of the province of Tanganyika Kalemie.

CONCEPTS AND DESIGN PROCESS

CONCEPT

1st Ground

2nd mass on the ground 3rd push the level to release the volumes

4th Cut into theses volumes to release the primary forms of the buildings.

5th push again to vreate the different levels of our helix and perfect the final shape in order to clear the administration, the station and the footbridge

This movement will be materialized in our forms of building by opting for that of a propeller. These propellers will be the very basis of our various compositions in the field with particular emphasis on the organization and operation of the huts in our villages, from the point of view of the physical circulation of people and that of the wind. This project is part of a Micro - gri framework which is an annexation of a new source to the electrical network in order to strengthen the latter environmental.

FLOOR PLAN 1

The design of this of project requires much more focus on technical principles and standards by adding an artistic touch that can easily characterize the architectural approach of the latter.

The design principle will have movement as its concept. This concept is not a fact of chance, it is justified by the fact that it is on the basis of the effects of a movement that energy is produced; without the movement of the wind, there would be no kinetic energy from the blades of a wind turbine, without the movement of water, the turbines of a power station would not turn, hence there would be no of electricity.

INTERIOR AND EXTERNAL DESIGN Personal Project Individual work - Restoration Project

INTRODUCTION

Vital action of the human being, eating is a moment of interaction between several people, several peoples but also an encounter with the different cultures transmitted and communicated by gastronomy.

And this restaurant have an area of 100m2 is designed to reflect this idea with the advantage of being in what is considered the best place in town which is «La ville Miba».

PEACE’S LODGE

PEACE’S LODGE 22

SITE CONTEXT

The land is located in the town of Mbuji-Mayi in the province of Kasai Oriental/DRC. The advantage is that it is found on a main road which makes it easily accessible by all.

SITE PLAN

For the establishment of the restaurant’s hut on the ground, it was necessary to compose the various species on the ground, with two existing buildings, one of which will be the restaurant’s kitchen and the other will be the take-away. We had to create a car park for two vehicles, an outdoor consumption space and a green space that we will use for major events.

INTERIOR AND SECTION

SECTION 1

The schematic section of the restaurant that passes from the road towards the back of the land tells us about the different heights of each element of the project, as well as their wheelbase on the ground.

One can easily notice that the distance between the road and the fence is large enough to create outdoor parking for several vehicles. The materials used here are mainly wood, corrugated steel sheet, natural stone and cement mortar.

INTERIOR

This restaurant consists of two rectangular blocks forming an L-shaped element which constitute the consumption space, in which is inserted a cylinder in the center which is the bar area.

PEACE’S LODGE
25

OUTSIDE

Outside the layout of the plot is such that it reveals a lot of flower vegetation in order to give the customer the benefit of the view but also to create an extension of the restaurant for those who do not want to eat inside.

This resounding responds to the need of the inhabitants of the upper class of Mbuji Mayi who seeks to find places to share moments with friends in a context of reconstruction of their province of Kasai Oriental, in a place that fits into a purely local framework. by the materials used for its construction such as wood or flat stones, the type of consumption space such as straw huts which are very popular.

Individual work - Office - Health Project

INTRODUCTION

Iron health is acquired when healthcare structures meet good hygiene standards and have the appropriate equipment. this is why in this project it was a question of redeveloping a room into a doctor’s office so that the latter works in a modern space for his consultations and to guarantee clients a treatment worthy of the money they will pay for cares.

Access to the office site is provided by a tertiary road which includes a pedestrian sidewalk, a public sewer network and a roadway. the layout of the plot includes a rest area, green spaces, car parks, circulation paths and several flower beds.

GROUND PLAN

The sanitation and the evaluation of rainwater are ensured by a system of gutters on the roofs connected to manholes which channel the water from the plot to the urban sewer networks

PROJECTS

FLOOR PLAN OF DOCTOR’S OFFICES

The interior of the office is partitioned so as to have 4 main spaces: the doctor’s office, the waiting area, the receptionist’s office and the toilets.

To partition off these differences in space, we have decided to choose light dividing partitions, this dividing partition will be dry partitions, they will consist of a metal frame with screwed plasterboard dis placo, on rails and galvanized steel or aluminum uprights.

To ensure thermal and sound insulation inside its partitions, we have opted for polystyrene insulation because it has the advantage of covering large surfaces, it is inexpensive, very practical and easy to install, it can be water repellent to resist water

SECTION 1

The cut of this desk tells us about the following:

A reinforced concrete floor from a Placoplâtre partition a false ceiling suspended in a light metal structure and to bring back composed of metal hanger and furs, glass wool plate for insulation this type of ceiling and call soft ceiling. edge angle with metal profiles fixed in the wall to serve as support for the rails, screw and dowel connection fishplates.

FLOOR PLAN OF SENTRY BOX

SECTION 1

The section of this gatehouse tells us about the various elements that make it up. The foundation is made of rubble stone masonry, a concrete floor, the elevation of the walls made of concrete block and the roof is a reinforced concrete slab, the formwork of which will be stripped 21 days from its maturity.

The primary form of this Sentry Box is that of a capsule. It is arranged so that we have on one side the office space for two guards, on the other side the toilets and a porch at the entrance.
