(RED) MARKS

These trademarks are legally protected, and each used differently in media and materials.

OFFICIAL (RED) MARKS The Cause The ‘(RED)’ mark represents the cause of (PRODUCT) RED. Using this mark communicates the master brand and its fight against AIDS and HIV in Africa.

Alternative Versions of the Logo RED has a great visual standard guide. Their whole book is full of contrast through color and large text. Here is an example of their different logo marks, they show them and pair it with an explanation.

The Program The ‘(PRODUCT) RED’ mark represents the partner program of (PRODUCT) RED. Using this mark communicates (RED)’s partnership with leading brands and products. The Tagline ‘DO THE (RED) THING’ is our call to action, used for both the cause and program. Variations on ‘DO THE (RED) THING’ should not be made as this will diminish the legal protection of the tagline.

Bracket Rules

(RED) BRACKETS

The brackets can be used as a graphic element on communications and advertisements. This should be done sparingly to preserve the impact of the mark. Please consult ‘(RED) in copy’ section for use of brackets in copy.

RULE: USING THE BRACKETS Minimum distance (RED)’s brackets should never appear closer than this

Maximum distance Ideally, (RED)’s brackets should never be more than three circles apart

Another great example is shown here, also in RED’s guide, is the use of their brackets. One of my potential logos has a bracket and this will be useful as a guide if I choose that particular logo.
