THE NUTCRACKER ROYAL BALLET Royal Opera House Sold out (Returns only) every performance and if you see this show you will understand why. It has beautiful music and is staged in wonderful sets with costumes and a retelling of the story which makes you feel good. The dancing was fabulous with Francesca Haywood taking the lead role - and with Stephen McCrae and Sarah Lamb dancing the Grande Pas de Deux. If you have not got a ticket this year then make sure the next time it is performed you book on the day the tickets come out. Any aspiring ballerina or ballet boy will love to see this. It is probably the best Christmas treat that is possible for all ages. Recommended.
SLAVA’s SNOW SHOW December until Jan 4 Royal Festival Hall An immersive experience which is firmly aimed at kids but creates a spectacle like no other. The Snowshow starts with Clowns on an empty stage.....and develos into a series of adventures many of which were in snow ! The kids in the audience were shouting and laighing with excitement all the way through.....so if you have some little ones who need entertaining and like the idea of circus style clown entertainment with lashings of snow and effects then this is the show for you. I cant say anymore because the wonder of the show is how suprising it all is ! For adults it is a non demanding spectacle. Think Cirque de Soleil mixed with the Russian State Circus and the Telebtubbies ! Crazy !
