È un onore essere accolti dalla grande famiglia di Guilmi e che il comune abbia adottato sei artisti, tramite cittadinanza onoraria e cerimonia ufficiale alla presenza della comunità intera che applaudiva felice… Dal 2012 il progetto di GAP non è più la residenza, ma è il paese, e tutti voi che ne siete stati protagonisti e vittime. Anno dopo anno ci avete elargito fiducia e affetto, proteggendoci dalle incertezze e dagli immancabili passi falsi, che di GAP sono la base fondante. I credits, infiniti, sono reali, intesi come qualcosa che è stato dato e che ha portato molto in cambio. GuilmiArtProject è un confronto su base orizzontale per le strade scoscese di Guilmi, è uno schema aperto, volutamente disorganizzante, bisognoso dell'apporto di tutti voi che lo fornite senza rendervene conto. Federico Bacci, Lucia Giardino GuilmiArtProject (GAP) è un progetto di residenza artistica a scadenza annuale ospitato nel comune di Guilmi (Ch). Dal 2007 Federico Bacci e Lucia Giardino invitano artisti visivi nella propria casa per innescare con la comunità un processo di dialogo a vari livelli. L’attività di GAP si compone di fasi che si concludono con la residenza vera e propria e con effetti collaterali di diversa natura, spesso spontanei, ma felicemente inglobati da GAP.
