Cf. RCV 3016. The obverse very slightly double struck. Toned. Extremely fine $750 Ex A. Lynn Collection; CNG Sale 57, 28 Mar. 2001, lot 1187. The die axis of this specimen (7:00) is attested for a bronze coin minted at Ephesus in the reign of Domitian by the Roman official Maecius(?) Rufus (RPC 1078).

AYTOKPAT NEPOYAC — KAICAP CEBACT around, Λ—Y in fields, laureate head right / YΠATOY — TPITOY, wooden lyre (phorminx), depicted with four strings, laurel branch to right. Unpublished. Cf. BMC 8 (same obv. except leg. terminates CEBAC, same rev. leg. w. different type). An apparently unpublished variant. Reverse slightly porous. Good very fine $200 Ex A.
