Melendez on Khaarga Escobar Slik (Kharga Asal Sukkar x Beckie). Arabian and Half-Arabian classes were sprinkled throughout the eight-day show, but the major competition was on Wednesday, September 17th, beginning with the $20,000 added Level 4 and $10,000 added Level 1 Open Arabian Reining Futurity. Multi-Million Dollar NRHA Professional, Andrea Fappani had a particularly good time with the Arabians and HalfArabians at the ARBC competition, winning both the HalfArabian Level 4 ($9,849.70) with SH Imvaguelysurprised ( Jerry Lees Surprise x Sage Hill Karla), for owner Joe Betten and the Arabian Level 4 ($7,712.48) with All Maxed Out RA (HH Maxemus x Marliera) for owner Cotton McNutt. It was his second time competing with Arabian horses (he also rode them successfully at the Scottsdale Show last February), and he was very vocal and up-beat in his appreciation for both the horses and the show.
