Meeting Palestinian Businessmen

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Greece, Marwan Toubassi, received, on Saturday, January 10th the Businessmen Committee that emerged from the congress of Palestinian Communities in Europe Conference, which was held a short time ago in the Romanian capital of Bucharest and a number of heads and representatives of our communities in European countries in the House of Palestine, the residence of the Ambassador in Athens.

The meeting wrapped up with a number of recommendations and directives to implement the vision of the committee members, in the presence of a representative of the Expatriate Affairs Department in the Palestine Liberation Organization and director of the property department in the Palestinian Ministry of Finance, and the Secretary-General of the ArabHellenic Chamber of Commerce Rashad Mabger in Athens, during which it was agreed to proceed with the establishment of an investment company to contribute to supporting steadfastness for our people, advancing the reality of the Palestinian economy, and discussing the possibility of marketing Palestinian products in European countries according to directives and vision agreed upon with Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Riyad Al-Maliki, who was contacted during the meeting.

Ambassador Toubassi presented the Embassy shield to the committee members in appreciation of their efforts, their role and their serious practical attempt, and thanked them on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas.

And highly appreciated their national role in the diaspora. Members of the committee presented their valuable interventions that emphasized the insistence in presenting the national duty through their role and cooperation with the Organization for Expatriate Affairs in the PLO and the ambassadors of the State of Palestine to European countries in particular, and it was also agreed to hold subsequent meetings to meet Palestinian and Greek businessmen in cooperation between the Embassy and the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the members of the committee.
