EISP provides eligible VA employees of at least one year with tax-free scholarships of up to $44,228 toward the cost of higher education, including tuition, registration fees and books. VA employees who are in, or seeking to enter, a Title 38 or hybrid Title 38 occupation may apply.

Candidates applying for the scholarship agree to serve in a VA career for one to three years after program completion or licensure.

Be continuously employed by the Veterans Health Administration for at least one year before applying.
Remain within credit limits of EISP (90 hours for undergraduate courses; 54 for graduate courses).
