2.6 Requirement of Community Centers

As per the Delhi Development Authority(DDA) byelaws, the requirement of community centers is as follows:

2.7 Case of East Delhi

As per the 2011 census of India, east and northeast Delhi marks the highest population density, however, despite the high population statistics, the region lacks the required number of community centers as specified in the Delhi Byelaws.

• Area of East Delhi: 64 sq km • Population of East Delhi: 1,709,346 (2011 census) • The estimated projected population of East Delhi by 2041: 28,00,000 • Total no. of presently available Community Centers in East Delhi: 13
