APIARY Magazine

Written by humans. APIARY Magazine is an all-volunteer literary organization dedicated to nurturing the literary arts and fostering cross-cultural understanding in Philadelphia. APIARY’s vision is a more compassionate Philadelphia, proud of and engaged with its own rich literary culture; where young and beginning writers are empowered to take an active role in the literary community; and where readers and writers of diverse backgrounds support one another in times of hardship, celebration, and social change. APIARY’s mission is to create spaces, in print and performance, for writers and readers to share their experiences across lines of race, gender, education, and socioeconomic class, and to increase citywide engagement with literature by offering Philadelphians new ways to interact with and enjoy local writing.
