Letter to Our Partners The Community Development Collaborative of Greater Columbus (Collaborative) brings together philanthropic leaders to align resources to help build a prosperous Central Ohio. We invest in the capacity of community development corporations (CDCs) to revitalize their communities from the ground up. In 2015, the Collaborative provided funding support and technical assistance to seven neighborhood based CDCs: Central Ohio Housing Development Organization, Community Development for All People, Engage CDC, Franklinton Development Association, Gertrude Wood Community Foundation, Greater Linden Development Corporation and Homes on the Hill CDC. Last year was challenging for Central Ohio CDCs. Recent federal programs in support of affordable housing began to wind down and available project funding was limited. In spite of these difficulties, our CDC grantees successfully developed quality affordable housing for low and moderate income families, launched new community programs and forged promising new partnerships. These activities are helping to restore vibrant urban neighborhoods in Columbus and Franklin County. The Collaborative understands that effective community development requires a holistic, large scale strategy and we believe CDCs are a critical piece of that puzzle. With the support of our funding partners, we are confident in the continued success of our CDC grantees. On behalf of our Board and staff, we thank all of our partners for their support in helping make central Ohio communities strong.
