Proverbs
Church Staff
These days we have taken on the task of teaching from the book of Proverbs. This wonderful book is filled with insightful tidbits of wisdom. The name of the series is called “Epigram: The Wisdom of The Proverbs.” ‘Epigram’ is by definition ‘any witty, ingenious, or pointed saying tersely expressed.’ The book of Proverbs does just this very thing. It is full of wise sayings expressed in short little spurts. It is hard to read these verses without immediate personal application. Simple challenges to seek wisdom and run away from stupid behaviour are strewn throughout. We look forward to what God has to say to us through His word in this book. As we work through our series on the book of Proverbs, we want to challenge you to take a few minutes each day for personal reflection. For the next few months, why don’t you read one chapter of the Proverbs every day? This book of wisdom has thirty one chapters, so you can read the whole book in one month. You’ll be surprised how often God will use these inspired sayings to speak to you and through you.
