Peace Corps taught me a foreign language, how to build a network in a new community, and how to use the former in the service of the latter”

NOTABLE PROJECTS: Babila’s service in Mongolia allowed him to take on various notable projects. One of those is the establishment of a business social responsibility program through which local businesses and government are removing 32 kilograms of trash and recyclable material from town streets on a monthly basis. Participating enterprises incorporated concepts from training concepts on uses of public service and corporate responsibility as vehicles for marketing and branding.

CAREER/SKILLS GAINED: Through his volunteering experience with Peace Corps, Babila gained abilities and strengths central to leadership-active listening, focus, keen observation, and awareness of his surroundings. He is currently in the process of applying to law school.
