President of Benedict College in Greensboro, North Carolina, was one of six honorees to receive th General Green Council's Silver Beaver Award. The award is given to Boy Scout leaders who have given at least 10 years of meritorious service to scouting. . . Despite protests by community groups in the area affected, Atlanta, Georgia now has a street named in honor of the late Brother Dr. MARTIN LUTHER KING. JR. The Atlanta City Council recently passed an ordinance re-naming three connecting streets (Hunter Street, Mozley Drive, and Gordon Street) to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. . .
