Mu Lambda A Tower Of Strength... WASHINGTON, D. C—Graduate brothers in Alpha Phi Alpha prior to October 1923 maintained contact by meeting with Beta Chapter in the Old Chapter House on Georgia Avenue. As the number of graduates grew the need for a graduate chapter became apparent. Pursuant to this need, an application was filed and on October 1, 1923 a charter was granted for establishing Mu Lambda Chapter. Charter members of the Mu Lambda are: 1. Arthur Curtis, M.D.* 2.
