PICKLEBALL

POUND FITNESS

From October to March, you can drop in from 68 p.m. in the Suchy Gym at Elkhorn Area High School for a game or two of Pickleball. Never played? Not a problem! We've got a group of regulars who'd love to show you the ropes! In the spring and summer, you can find pickleball outside on the EAHS Tennis Courts, MondayFriday from 7-10 a.m. No registration needed.

POUND is a full-body cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. This workout combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. FARMHOUSE SWEETS COOKIE DECORATING

MAKER SPACE CRAFTING

Impress your friends and family with your decorating skills! Farmhouse Sweets teaches cookie decorating every other Saturday in the High School Glass Room throughout the school year and summer. You get step-by-step instructions on how to decorate adorably themed cookies and take home a half-dozen cookies after class.

Visit the EAHS Cube for an evening of seasonal crafting on December 20, 2023, at 5 p.m. in the Maker Space. You'll get a chance to try out the laser engraver, learn about our 3D printer, and create one-of-a-kind gifts and crafts! $25

ADULT VOLLEYBALL

ADULT SOCCER

Get a team together and join our Adult Volleyball League! Rec and competitive divisions depending on your team's skill level. Games will be scheduled between 6:30-9 p.m., Wednesday nights, November through January, at EAHS. $150 Per Team

Sponsored by the Elkhorn Recreation Department, the Adult Soccer League meets January through March in the Agility Center. Get your game face on, exercise, and enjoy some friendly competition. 8 vs 8 pick-up games weekly. No need to register. Keep an eye on Facebook for updates.

Register with the City of Elkhorn Rec Department ADULT BASKETBALL Stay in the game and keep the competitive spirit alive; stop and play a few games with other community members. 18+ games on Saturdays from 5-8 p.m., 30+ games on Sundays from 6-8 p.m. No need to register.

AUTO CLUB COMMUNITY NIGHTS

WALK WITH A DOC

The Elkhorn Auto Club hosts a two-night winter workshop on the basics of car maintenance and repair. Session one focuses on what you should know about VIN numbers, how to check basic fluid levels, changing wiper blades, jumping a car, and charging your batteries.

Walk With a Doc is a FREE opportunity to connect with a healthcare professional, get some exercise, and learn about topics like eye health, stroke prevention, the benefits of yoga, wound care, and more!

Session two is all about tires! Roadside tire changes, checking and filling your tires with air, inspecting, and plugging a tire.

Walk With a Doc meets the first Saturday of the month at 8;30 a.m. at Elkhorn Area High School (Door #1). No need to register!

HOLIDAY COOKIE BAKE & TAKE

INSTANT POT MEALS

Holiday baking seem overwhelming to you? Join Jenny Wehmeier and EAHS Culinary Arts students for an evening of baking in the Culinary Arts classroom. Bring a friend or make new friends as you work in a kitchen with up to three bakers. Participants will work in one of six stations to bake one or two kinds of cookies to be split with the rest of the group. Recipes will be selected ahead of time to purchase ingredients. $20 ind. /$50 kitchen

Interested in learning a new language? Join Kari Todd for an introduction to Beginning Sign Language. This course will get you started with basic conversational sign language as well as useful signs for working with children. Open to students in high school and adults. Say farewell to summer and hello to fall fun with a short candlelit hike, then join us by the campfire for s’mores and hot cider. This FREE, family-friendly event is open to all! The trail is open for walking, biking, cross country skiing and features outdoor fitness equipment for public use.
