PRELIMINARY PUBLICITY FOR PREPARATION OF THE LOCAL PLAN LPA should announce and make the public aware and have an opportunity of making representations to the LPA related to the objectives, purposes and matters that LPA proposes to include in the plan (S. 12A). Preparation of Inception and Sectoral Report
PREPARATION OF DRAFT LOCAL PLAN Consist of a map and a written statement (S. 12(3)) which translate the policies and general proposals as stated in the SSP. LP must conforms to the SSP (S.12(8)).
PUBLICITY Publicity to the Draft of LP for public inspection and objection (S.13).
LOCAL ENQUIRY Any objection and representations by the public will be considered by LPA through the formation of local inquiry or other hearing to be held by a committee appointed by the SPC (S.14).
APPROVAL OF DRAFT OF LOCAL PLAN After considering the objections or representations, the LPA should submits the draft of local plan or new draft of local plan which some modification so as to take account of the objections or representations to the SPC for its approval (S.15(1). The SPC shall approve it in whole or in part or reject it (S.15(1A)).
ASSENT BY THE STATE AUTHORITY After approved it, the SPC should submit to the State Authority for their assent (S.15(1C)).
GAZETTMENT The LPA should cause the assent of the State Authority to a draft of LP to be published in the State Gazette and Newspapers (S.15(4)).
