Gotham medium is a geometric high contrast sans-serif typeface designed by American type designer Tobias Frere-Jones with Jesse Ragan and released from 2000. Gotham's letterforms were inspired by examples of architectural signage of the mid-twentieth century. Gotham has a relatively broad design with a reasonably high x-height, wide apertures, and balanced stress.

Die Bunker des Alpenwalls im Vinschgau DER ALPENWALL: HISTORISCHE BUNKERANLAGEN IM OBEREN VINSCHGAU Die historische Grenzbefestigung am Reschenpass, der sogenannte Alpenwall, ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Geschichtsinteressierte und mutet beim Wandern wie ein bizarres Kunstwerk an. Besonders sehenswert sind der Bunker Etschquelle/Bunker Nr. 20 und die Panzersperre Plamort, die in einem als Naturdenkmal ausgewiesenen Hochmoor über der Ortschaft Reschen liegt. Sehenswert sind auch die tief in die Erde führenden Bunker im Obervinschgau. Die monumentalen Abwehranlagen können als architektonischen Relikte der Zwischenkriegszeit in geführten Wanderungen besichtigt werden.

Zum Schutz vor einer Invasion Hitlers wurde Ende der 1930er-Jahre 10pt/12pt entlang der Reschengrenze eine umfangreiche Verteidigungslinie aus Panzersperren und Bunkeranlagen angelegt. Die deutsche Expansionspolitik nach Süden brachte Italien und Deutschland in direkten Kontakt. So erteilte der Duce im November 1939 den Befehl, mit ausgedehnten Befestigungsarbeiten an der Nordgrenze zu beginnen. Ab Ende Januar 1940 gab es in Südtirol ein erstes Verteidigungssystem mit 66 Anlagen. Im Oktober 1942 wurden die Bauarbeiten nach wiederholtem Protest des Deutschen Reiches eingestellt.

Wallberg sans is a medium contrast typeface based on architectural signage of the mid-twentieth century Gotham skeleton. Wallberg sans is a more flowing naturalist take on the classic type, playing with brushed terminals to lead the text to the right. Wallberg has a large aperature and is not as broad as gotham but aims to be a contemporary script combining natural architecture with man made. It has been made for long texts moreover than its counterpart â&#x20AC;&#x153;Wallbergâ&#x20AC;&#x153;.
