WHEREAS, the WANTAGH FIRE DISTRICT has by appropriate resolution established a certain capital reserve fund designated as the Capital Reserve Fund, established pursuant to Section 6(g) of the General Municipal Law, in an account for deposit of said Capital Reserve Fund entitled, “The Wantagh Fire District, Section 6(g) General Municipal Building and Grounds Capital Reserve Fund” in local banks; and WHEREAS, the expenditure of the funds on the renovation of the parking lot and related work at Station # 4 located at 1191 Alken Avenue, Seaford New York 11783, is deemed necessary to meet the emergency services needs of the residents of the WANTAGH FIRE DISTRICT; and WHEREAS, the maximum cost to obtain such renovation of the parking lot at Station No. 4 (labor, and materials), including incidental expenses, advertising, architectural fees, engineering fees, and attorney’s fees is estimated to be Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00). IT IS RESOLVED that pursuant to the laws and regulations applicable and in particular to Section 6(g) of the General Municipal Law, that the renovation of the parking lot at Station # 4 located at 1191 Alken Avenue, Seaford New York 11783, be completed and that the cost and expenses for such purchase, advertising, incidental expenses, architectural fees, engineering fees, and attorney’s fees shall be expended from the Building and Grounds Capital Reserve Fund upon authorization of the Board of Fire Commissioners, at the maximum estimated cost of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($ 50,000.00); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution is subject to a permissive referendum as provided for in Section 6(g) of the General Municipal Law.
