Package Design Project A package design classroom project with a task to explore the creative possibility of label design for any possible product. I chose whisper brand Sanitary Pads for my hypothetical creative label design project, with an aim to create an impact on Indian society.


Problem Outline Taboo related with product in Indian Society. Taboo - People feel ashamed to address and carry the product without secondary package (newspaper, black polythene, etc.) There is a hesitation to carry a packet naked in public because of the taboo associated with it.

A label design which is not loud & bright but is impactful with social camouflage, which has purpose to make narrow minded people rethink their perspective towards product and the social mindset stigma associated with sanitary pads. It also serves the purpose to reach roots of India to change their mindset with label camouflage.

Future Goals

Label function is to highlight the taboo associated with sanitary pads in Indian Society with purpose to tell the narrow minded and opinionated people of the society to reconsider their practice. A social media campaign to raise a voice against crippled thinking of society which has the purpose to interact with the people who consider it taboo and ignore it to let the taboo coexist with them in society. A poster series and root level social awareness campaign with purpose to educate the people and distribute the product with purpose to change their mindset and create healthy environment in society.
