AUDIENCE — My audience is a college freshman named Stacy. Stacy is a bio major who likes to swim at the rec in her free time (whenever she isn’t studying at the campus library) and eat at the dining hall for every meal. Stacy’s dorm room mirror is decorated with color coded sticky notes for all the tasks she needs to complete to be successful for the week. As a newly 18-year-old who has always been passionate about peoples’ rights, she is counting down the days until she gets to vote in her first presidential election. On the weekends, Stacy likes to go to the frats with her roommates and the girls on her floor, but is sometimes worried about what could happen when she does go out. Stacy wants to be protected.
