CONCEPT FOR A RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
Company: Location: Vienna Year complete: In progress Participants: Anna Mokhova
The project is a concept of a house for a family of four. The plot of land is allocated in suburbs of Vienna and faces a forest in the South and rural road in the North, while surrounded by neighbours in other two directions. An attempt to create scenic views and draw light in while maintaining privacy was key to spatial arrangement. Thus, the house project contains two main volumes. Ground floor is a public area and the first floor is private space. There is also a volume for the garage in the North and space for the outdoor terrace in the South-East.

ROYAL QUARTER CAFÉ
Company: Geometry Location: London Year complete: 2013 Participants: Irina Glik, Anna Mokhova
Royal Quarter Café is the latest opening for the Quarter Group, which owns a number of restaurants across London. The café is conjoined of two areas covering 69 seats. Supervised by ‘Geometry’ studio art director Irina Glik, I was leading the project from the first stages up to the opening day. My responsibilities included creating presentations, space planning, developing a set of working drawings and sourcing materials as well as negotiating with contractors. Moreover, I did site visits in order to check on progress and arrange possible amendments.

BROMPTON ASIAN BRASSERIE
Company: Geometry Location: London Year complete: 2013 Participants: Irina Glik, Tatiana Aleshina, Anna Mokhova
Brompton Asian Brasserie is a second London-based opening by a celebrity chef Arcady Novikov. The ground floor provides space for casual dining experience, while the lower ground floor is a late night area, covering 73 and 53 seats accordingly. I joined the ‘Geometry’ studio when the concept was approved. My position included working drawings development, negotiation with contractors in regard to the new engineering services as well as FF&E sourcing on later stages. Two open kitchens as well as restaurant location made this project a challenge.

MA RESEARCH
School: Chelsea College of Art and Design, UAL Location: London Date complete: 2011 Course director: Ken Wilder
In my research, I intended to probe on sensations formed by perception. I aimed to investigate engagement of a figure and space as a process of mediation between physical and metaphysical spatial experiences and sought to determine the processes, which form both domains of perception. For investigations I referred to cupola architecture. Outcome was the apparatus forming ‘Dome-Image’. Research process is reflected in my blog: http://maisdamokhova.blogspot.com

GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROJECT SEMESTER 1
School: Chelsea College of Art and Design, UAL Location: London Date complete: 2010 Course director: Peter Stickland
The project is a book, which introduces a reader to space. The book tells a story of a journey one takes up in the space of the house. Starting my work on this project, I was inspired by a dream about a boathouse on the coast of the sea, and this narrative brought me to the organization of the living space by forming architectural elements from structures which appeared in my dream. GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROJECT SEMESTER 2
School: Chelsea College of Art and Design, UAL Location: London Date complete: 2010 Course director: Peter Stickland
The project is a study of engaging philosophy with spatial design. “Listening” to the building, I resurrected its hidden essence as a spatial installation of the ruined old structure in juxtaposition with a new one. In the book presenting the project one travels in the spatial tissue of the building throughout a 24-hour period. As the journey happens, day becomes night, explored space becomes an image.
