Appendix 5: Example of feedback and outcomes from the Design project

That class is independent-based work but it is followed by many discussions and presentations. Together with the leading teacher, Friedrich Kuhlmann, we have found our way to lead that course in a perhaps less „officially” organized way, but with a very strong focus on the individual development of each student and common development of working methods in the process of research by design. The outcome was surprizingly goood. Many of ideas of our students were very thorrow and deep and in the same time very much down to earth. We have invited some guest lecturers such as specialists from Tartu municipality on nature and environment.
