Day 01 Manali to Dharamsala : This Seven hour drive will bring us to the Head quarters of Tibetean Govt. in exile. . Enroute we stop at the Tashigong moastery or Mandi to break the journey. Day 02 Dalai Lama's residence and monastery, the headquarters of Tibetans in Exile. The Tibetan government-in-exile has been here for over three decades. The impressive monastery has larger than life images of the Buddha, Padmasambhava and Avaloktwshwara. The large Tibetan community and the presence of traditional architectural designs drawn from Tibet enhances the area. Afternoon visit to Norbu Lingka Institute -a culture Centre where one can see Tibetan Thanka Painting, wood craving and Doll making etc o/n Hotel Day 03 Dharamsala Early morning-dawn, circumambulate the monastery complex along with the locals. Directly behind the monastery, about mid-way on the walk, there are often monks and lay people chanting, drumming and ringing bells. This is a delightful walk both for the natural beauty as well as for the joyful feeling of being a part of the Tibetan community for these moments. There may be an opportunity to sit in the main hall as the monks are chanting before they receive their morning butter tea and bread. Return to hotel for breakfast. Full day to visit the Dalai Lama's monastery and residence, the offices of the Tibetan Govt. in exile, the traditional medicine and astrological centers and museum. Afternoon and evening free to browse through the Tibetan Markets. Day 04 Dharamsala ( Local Sight Seeing) Morning visit Tibetan Medical Centre, Tibetan Library, Nechung Monastery and Tibetan Secretariate. After lunch visit Namgyal monastery, Dialectic school, Drip Tsecholing and Tibetan Handicraft Centre. Evening Tibetan culture show at TIPA. Overnight at hotel.. Day 05 Dharamsala to Chandigarh
