Leadership is not a title; it’s a responsibility! The Chamber is accepting nominations for the Leadership Angleton program. The purpose of Leadership Angleton is to identify and motivate emerging leaders, and to develop their potential for community leadership by exposing them to the realities, opportunities and challenges of our community. The effectiveness of personal involvement in the future development of the Angleton Area can be enhanced through increased knowledge of the community’s history, citizenry, and social and economic make-up. It is the intent of the Leadership Angleton program to provide a foundation of such knowledge those potential leaders will use to aid their involvement in community affairs. The program begins in September 2016, and culminates with a graduation banquet in May 2017. The program consists of one session per month and participants are required to attend. The registration fee is $795 and entitles the participant to meals and lodging for the overnight retreat and the Austin trip. This will also include lunch after each tour. Awards and recognition for those who successfully complete 80% of all programs, as well as the Distinguished Leadership Banquet will also be included. Class size is limited; please submit your nomination early. Nominations can be sent by mail or fax to the Chamber office on or before Friday, June 15, 2016.
