EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Over the next several weeks and months, as our industry stabilizes from the COVID-19 pandemic, the workforce will slowly but surely return back into physical offices, yards, warehouses and jobsites.

This guide provides a road map for navigating through the current COVID-19 pandemic and outlines practices to prevent the spread of the virus, such that we can transition back into operations safely and effectively. We will focus on primary areas which are applicable to nearly every construction firm throughout the nation. Although we are all faced with common challenges, understandably, this unprecedented migration will slightly differ for each organization depending upon the specific, on-site conditions and workflow attributes within and outside of the office environment.

As we compile this guide, it is important to note that the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), among other health organizations and government bodies, are the primary sources for guidance on COVID-19 and other health-related issues. The intent of this resource is to lay the foundation for proactive recommendations which we can all build upon to fortify our operations and reinforce safety protocols as we move forward through these unprecedented times.

COVID-19 FACTS How COVID-19 spreads (CDC Website)i Myth Busters (WHO Website)ii How the virus spreads: 1. Person-to-person spread The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.

• Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).

• Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks.

• These droplets can land in the mouths, noses and eyes of people who are nearby, or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

• Some recent studies have suggested that COVID-19 may be spread by people who are not showing symptoms.

2. Contact with contaminated surfaces or objects This is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads.

• It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes.

How long the virus can survive: How long any respiratory virus survives will depend on a number of factors, for example: • What surface the virus is on • Whether it is exposed to sunlight • Differences in temperature and humidity • Exposure to cleaning products Under most circumstances, the amount of infectious virus on any contaminated surface is likely to decrease significantly over 72 hours.

What is COVID-19 and how to protect yourself (WHO)iv Avoid close contact: • Put distance between yourself and other people.

• Remember that some people without symptoms may be able to spread the virus.

• Keeping distance from others is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick.

Cover your mouth and nose when around others: • Everyone should wear the appropriate mask when they have to go out in public.

• You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick.

• Continue to keep about 6 feet between yourself and others. The mask is not a substitute for social distancing.

Clean your hands often: • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

• If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

When and how to wash your hands (CDC Website)v • Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold) and apply soap.

• Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.

• Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds.

• Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.

• Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.

Social Distancing, Quarantine & Isolation (CDC Website)x

To practice social distancing: • Stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people even if you are wearing a mask.

• Do not gather in groups.

• Stay out of crowded places and avoid mass gatherings.

How to put on a mask: 1. Before wearing the mask, wash your hands with an alcohol-based disinfectant or with soap and water.

2. Cup the mask in your dominant hand, allowing the straps to dangle freely.

3. Place the mask over the nose and mouth by firmly pressing the nose clip on the mask over the nose and tucking the bottom of the mask securely over the chin.

4. Then take the top strap and place it at the top of the head.

5. Next take the bottom strap and place it at the bottom on the neck (do NOT allow the strap to rest on the hair of a ponytail but against the base of the neck).

6. Lastly, perform a seal check by breathing in and out forcefully and feeling for air leakage around the mask.

How to take off a mask: 1. Tilt the head slightly forward.

2. Then use your two index fingers and remove the bottom strap first by slowly pulling it over the head.* 3. Lastly, remove the top strap, being very careful not to touch the front of the mask.

4. Discard the mask.

NOTE: DO NOT touch the front of the mask, it might be contaminated. Use the straps instead.

The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure: • Fever • Cough • Shortness of breath What to do if you have symptoms: • To keep other people from getting infected or exposed, please relay any developments to your Supervisor and Human Resources (HR) Department.

• If you feel like you are developing symptoms, stay home and call your doctor.

• If you are not sick enough to be hospitalized, you can recover at home.

If you develop emergency warning signs* get medical attention ASAP: • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest • New confusion or inability to arouse • Bluish lips or face Testing for COVID-19 (CDC Website) xiv • Per CDC guidelines, if you have had symptoms, it is strongly suggested you schedule an appointment and get testing for COVID-19 • If you were previously tested positive – to determine if you are still contagious, you must meet the following three criteria prior to returning to your workplace: 1. You no longer have a fever (without the use of medicine that reduces fevers) AND 2. Other symptoms have improved AND 3. You received two negative test results in a row, taken at least seven days apart.

NOTE: *This list is not all inclusive. Please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning.

OFFICE FACILITY COVID-19 PREVENTION & PROTOCOLS The health and safety of those who use the office facility should be treated as a shared commitment.

All parties should ascertain individual responsibilities and work collectively to bolster our efforts in creating a safe and secure environment.

PREPARING FOR DAY ONE Communication, Clearance & Support • Prior to returning to the office environment, Human Resources: o Must review key safety points as indicated in this manual, as well as those issued by officially recognized health organizations and government bodies. o Ensure training in proper fitting and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as proper removal, sanitization and / or disposal of same. o Must inform and prepare employees as to expectations and new office realities. o Must administer clearance session Q&A and related clearance forms. o Must collect any medical clearance document(s) per CDC guidelines if employee previously tested positive or have related symptoms.

Space Planning & Social Distancing • Develop a concise but thorough analysis of the current working environment.

• Develop a visually displayed routing system for office traffic flow and reduce bi-directional foot traffic.

• Relocate / recreate / specify seat assignments for employees to ensure minimum work distances.

(Public safety codes, building codes, applicable laws and security requirements must not be compromised to achieve social distancing).

• Designate “MAX OCCUPANCY” on all rooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, etc. o Post sign on room door. o Ensure cleaning staff disinfects per cleaning protocol after every meeting. o Utilize room scheduling software / calendars to notify cleaning staff.

• Implement a smart system to inform others whether one person rooms are occupied or vacant.

• Setup napkin and utensil dispensers in cafeterias.

• Discard of any communal condiment bottles and other items.

• Unless using an automatic ice dispenser, halt the use of communal ice machines (no ice scoops, etc.).

Building Hours & Entry Points • Set and communicate days and hours of operation for: o Building Facility, Front Desk Staff, Security Staff, Janitorial Staff.

• Set and communicate designated entrances depending on employee work area.

• Provide PPE Stations at every designated entrance.

Air Filtration & Ventilation It is believed that ventilation and filtration provided by Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning systems (HVAC) can reduce the airborne concentration of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and thus the risk of transmission through airborne exposures.

Verify System Controls: • Equipment and systems are properly functioning and are equipped with enhanced building air circulating systems.

• Dampers, filters etc. are clean, functional and are responding to control signals.

• System sensors are calibrated and accurately reporting environmental conditions.

• Air handling systems provide adequate airflow in all occupied spaces, and that the duct system is free from blockages.

• Exhaust fans are operational and venting to the outdoors.

Suggested actions: • Continued operation of all systems is recommended.

• Outside air for ventilation be increased to as much as the HVAC system can accommodate, while maintaining indoor conditions during occupied hours.

• Update or replace existing HVAC air filtration to the highest efficiency compatible filters per the existing HVAC system.

• If possible utilize ceiling fans with upward airflow rotation.

Additionally, it is recommended to open outside doors and windows to enhance ventilation and fresh air circulation.

DAY ONE & BEYOND Commuting, Transportation & Travel • Avoid overcrowded public transportation.

• Maintain safe distance from other passengers and wear PPE (gloves, masks, etc.) while commuting.

• Consider alternative solo transit modes such as bikes, scooters, cars.

• Makes sure to sanitize touchpoints, especially if using shared modes like public bicycles.

• All vehicles must be designated one (1) driver ONLY (no shared vehicles).

• Do not carpool or travel with other passengers. o Shuttles and corporate vehicles must adhere to social distancing guidelines.

• Drivers must disinfect vehicles before and after every use.

• When pumping gas, use a sanitary wipe or paper product to hold the nozzle.

• Avoid all non-essential travel. If you must travel, follow the strictest restrictions currently in place.

• Please notify your supervisor and Human Resources if you, or anyone in your household or someone you have close contact with, travels out of the tristate area (New York, Connecticut, New Jersey). Upon return, you may be required to go through a standard testing protocol.

Building Entry & Reception • You will be supplied with masks, gloves, suits and any other PPE as required, daily.

Upon entering the premises: • Sanitize or wash your hands immediately (that includes when re-entering the premises).

• Wear the provided PPE. • Check-in at your designated checkpoint prior to going to your workspace. o Temperature and Q&A will be administered daily by Checkpoint Administrators, who have been trained to administer these sessions. o Safety spectacles, goggles or face shields are suggested when administering temperature checking. o Checkpoint Administrators will keep a daily log of employees and visitors that have come into the premises. This will allow for tracing applications in the event a further investigation must be made.

In addition to temperature administration, we recommend systematic checking of employee Peripheral Oxygen Saturation (SPO2) levels as a method to assist early detection of COVID pneumonia, via a pulse oximeter. A pulse oximeter is a non-intrusive device that clips onto your finger and reads your blood oxygen levels (or oxygen saturation) and heart rate.

SPO2 levels, per WHO: • Between 95% - 100% (Normal Reading) • <94% (Should be evaluated by a medical professional) • <90% (Considered a “clinical emergency” and should be treated urgently) Throughout the Day & General Guidelines • Maintain social distancing guidelines (6 feet apart from others at all times).

• Maintain a contact-free facility.

• Strictly observe hygiene and respiratory etiquette.

• A mask is to be worn at all times while in the office environment.

• Wash hands frequently using hand soap and water for at least 20 seconds, adhering to the “how to wash your hands” guidelines per CDC website.

• Utilize sanitizing stations at every opportunity.

• Self-monitor for symptoms.

• Don’t’ share phones, tools, equipment, etc., with others.

• Store all personal items (keys, wallet, coat etc.) in a “personal enclosed area.”

• Bring your own pen, notepad, etc., with you.

• Regularly disinfect your desk, office and personal belongings.

• Reach out to a designated person should you need office supplies.

• Continue to follow all applicable safety practices, referring to existing regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.

External Visitors • Visitors must be limited to the extent possible.

• Any visitors that must visit the premises, must also: o Follow all in-house rules as stated within this manual and per CDC guidelines. o Coordinate their visit with a point person prior to arriving. o Point person must approve clearance and take responsibility for their visitor. o Front Desk and Checkpoint Administrator must be notified as to the visitor name, intent, and time / day of arrival.

Communication & Meeting Spaces • Utilize electronic communication (emails and phone) to reach a colleague.

• Video meetings are encouraged when possible. Use earphones to limit disruption and to maintain increased confidentiality.

• In-person interactions are discouraged. If you must meet in-person, use your discretion while continuing to practice social distancing guidelines.

• Unless a scheduled meeting has been arranged, walking into an office is discouraged.

• If you must meet in an office / conference room, keep doors open.

• Use corridors to take you from point A to point B without engaging in conversation.

• Public work spaces adjacent to open concept workstations should not be used to engage in conversation, or as gathering areas.

• During this time, you must enhance communication with each other and connect on a regular basis regarding all ongoing projects via phone / video conference.

• During this time, you must enhance communication with Architects / Engineers, Owners / CM’s / GC’s, and Property Managers.

• During this time, you must remain fully engaged on each project and perform daily and weekly meetings to coordinate manpower and schedules.

Printing & Paper Documents • Implement an “only print what you must” environment. Embrace technology.

• Do not transfer physical documents to others.

• Discard any unclaimed paperwork at End of Day (EOD).

• Use a sanitary wipe, paper product, pen or other creative item on knobs, levers, and buttons.

• Use your own stapler, staple remover, etc.

Shipping & Receiving (Incoming & Outgoing Mail / Packages / Food Deliveries) According to the CDC, there is no evidence to suggest COVID-19 is being spread through the mail or packages. However, there is evidence the virus can live on packaging surfaces for up to 72 hours.

• Mail processing clerk / Front Desk must wear PPE when handling any type of mail / package (both incoming and outgoing).

Mail (Envelopes) • Shift through mail and immediately discard any unnecessary mail.

• Wipe down each remaining piece of mail and place it in stacks (per recipient).

• It is advisable for outer envelopes to be discarded.

• Implement a smart system to keep mail disinfected and change gloves as needed.

• Each piece of mail must be date/time stamped.

• Place disinfected mail into final recipient’s mailbox. o If item can be digitized, mail must be scanned and emailed to recipient.

Packages (Cardboard / plastic boxes, drawing tubes, food deliveries) • Designate and inform mail / delivery carrier of the drop off / pick up area. o Clerk should not come in direct contact with delivery person.

• Lay out packages in an easy to pick-up formation.

• Sanitize the exterior of all packages.

• Log packages into system and email recipient. o Recipient must only handle their package. o Upon pick-up, recipient must immediately discard outer package prior to handling internal items and sanitize internal contents.

Restrooms • Restrooms to be utilized by only one (1) person at a time.

• Use a sanitary wipe or paper product to open the door.

• Discard wipe or product in the nearest garbage pail.

• Wash your hands before AND after using the restroom.

• Use a sanitary wipe or paper product to open the door.

• Discard wipe or product before leaving the restroom.

Elevator • Elevator to be utilized by only one (1) person at a time.

• Use a sanitary wipe, paper product, pen or other creative item to press the buttons.

Cafeteria • Cafeteria to be utilized by only one (1) person at a time.

• Utilize the disposable plates, cups and utensils provided.

• Wash your personal food / beverage belongings immediately after use (personal mug, water bottle, food containers, etc.)

• You are encouraged to bring lunch from home.

• Mark your name on any refrigerator-stored items.

• Do not share food or beverages with others.

• Use a sanitary wipe, paper product, pen or other creative item when touching knobs, levers, and buttons.

• Opt for eating lunch at your desk and observe cafeteria table occupancy limits.

Janitorial & Maintenance Services Scheduling, Training & PPE • Maintain designated COVID-19 staff throughout the day / after hours.

• Remain staggered to minimize overlap.

• Ensure all staff is properly trained on maintenance and sanitation protocols.

• Prior to cleaning commencement, ensure all staff practice hand hygiene prior to putting PPE on, and follow Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) requirements.

• Utilize PPE at all times, including while re-stocking and cleaning.

YARD & WAREHOUSE COVID-19 PREVENTION & PROTOCOLS General Yard & Warehouse Guidelines • The supervisor must administer all check-ins / check-outs at the designated checkpoint prior to workers commencing their tasks. o Temperature and Q&A will be administered daily. o Supervisor to be trained appropriately. o Supervisor to keep a daily log of workers and visitors that have come onto the yard / warehouse.

This will allow for tracing applications in the event a further investigation must be made.

• All work related premises are contact-free.

• Workers must sanitize or wash their hands immediately upon entering (or re-entering) the yard / warehouse.

• Machinery that needs to be used by multiple workers must be properly disinfected after every use.

• Inform employees that they must: o Maintain social distancing guidelines during work tasks as well as during lunch and onsite meetings.

Limit the number of workers congregated at any area. o Utilize disposable plates, cups and utensils provided. o Use a sanitary wipe, paper product, pen or other creative item when touching knobs, levers, and buttons. o Strictly observe hygiene and respiratory etiquette. o Wash their hands frequently using hand soap and water for at least 20 seconds using the “how to wash your hands” guidelines per CDC website. o Utilize sanitizing stations at every opportunity. o Self-monitor for symptoms. o Not share phones, tools, equipment, etc., with others. o Store all personal items (keys, wallet, coat, etc.) in a “personal enclosed area.” o Regularly disinfect their personal belongings.

• Yard / Warehouse supervisor must coordinate maintenance and repairs during specified hours outside normal business hours. o Supervisor must be present during that time. o Maintenance / Repair staff must follow the protocol in this manual. o Any required cleanup must be made prior to the next business day.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Supply workers with masks, gloves, suits and any other PPE as required.

• Ensure all employees know how to properly use (put on / take off) PPE. • PPE (Eye protection, work gloves and protective mask) must be worn at all times.

• Inform workers to request additional supplies if they are running low.

• Proper PPE training occurs at the start of every shift. Training is held by the supervisor, who is fully responsible to enforce protocol.

• Workers must regularly inspect and maintain their PPE throughout the day.

External Visitors • Restrict unnecessary persons from the Yard / Warehouse.

• Visitors must be limited to the extent possible.

• Any visitors that must visit the Yard / Warehouse, must: o Follow all protocols and procedures as stated on this manual and CDC guidelines. o Coordinate their visit with the yard / warehouse supervisor prior to arriving. o Supervisor must approve clearance and take responsibility for their visitor.

Restrooms • Restrooms to be utilized by only one (1) person at a time.

• Implement a smart system to inform others whether the restroom is occupied or vacant.

• Use a sanitary wipe or paper product to open the door.

• Discard wipe or product in the nearest garbage pail.

• Wash your hands before AND after using the restroom.

• Use a sanitary wipe or paper product to open the door.

• Discard wipe or product before leaving the restroom.

Commuting, Transportation & Vehicles • Avoid overcrowded public transportation.

• Maintain safe distance from other passengers and wear PPE while commuting.

• Consider alternative solo transit modes such as bikes, scooters, cards.

• Makes sure to sanitize touchpoints, especially if shared modes like public bicycles.

• All vehicles must be designated one (1) driver ONLY (NO shared vehicles).

• All travel must take place WITHOUT other passengers.

• Drivers must disinfect vehicles before and after every use.

• When pumping gas, use a sanitary wipe or paper product to hold the nozzle.

• Avoid all non-essential travel. If you must travel, follow the strictest restrictions currently in place.

• Please notify your supervisor and Human Resources if you, or anyone in your household or someone you have close contact with, travels out of the tristate area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut). Upon return, you may be required to go through a standard testing protocol.

Yard & Warehouse Cleaning • Maintain designated COVID-19 staff throughout the day / after hours.

• Remain staggered to minimize overlap.

• Ensure all staff is properly trained on maintenance and sanitation protocols.

• Prior to cleaning commencement, ensure all staff practice hand hygiene prior to putting PPE on, and follow Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) requirements.

• Utilize PPE at all times including while re-stocking and cleaning.

• Review pest control operational frequency.

• Review site inventory of cleaning chemicals, materials and consumables.

JOBSITES COVID-19 PREVENTION & PROTOCOLS

PREVENTION The following steps are required by all employees: 1. Learn how to protect yourself, your family and co-workers as outlined by the “COVID-19 Prevention” section of this manual (per the CDC).

2. Educate yourself on the signs and symptoms as outlined by the “COVID-19 Symptoms” section of this manual (per the CDC).

3. Implement a policy for early reporting of signs or symptoms of COVID-19 as a method of preventing the spread of the disease - if an employee displays symptoms of COVID-19, immediately remove them from the workplace or jobsite.

4. Require sick employees to stay at home.

PROTOCOLS Jobsite Setup • The jobsite specific Emergency Action Plan (“EAP”) to include the designated entrances, wash stations, portable toilets, changes areas, and common areas. Other jobsite specific items, like start / finish time, staggered shifts, and other COVID-19 related protocols and procedures as mentioned in the overall manual considering on-site conditions and realities will be documented. EAP must be posted and visible at the jobsite. (Examples of such locations are field offices, workers changing area, restroom facilities). o Determine the appropriate amount of people allowed in any single room at a given time based on the size of the room. Post the occupant limit on EAP and in the room.

• COVID-19 awareness signage (in English / Spanish) - posted in jobsite trailers, changing areas, entrances and all controlled areas.

• Hand-washing stations, water stations (recommend bottled water), restrooms / portable toilets, jobsite change areas need to be independent from the general public, located in a restricted zone.

• Point of entry / exit into the jobsite needs to be funneled through one location with enough space to allow social distancing of 6’ minimum per person as they are waiting on line (“mark distancing,” utilizing a marker on the ground if possible).

• Work area to be accessed as much as possible from the exterior of buildings: o Installation of stair towers to access low rise roofs or setbacks, where applicable. (Below 12 stories is typical, to avoid access through building interior and service elevators.) o Exterior access to jobsite changing areas will be used where possible. o Staggered shifts, arrivals / departures, lunch, rest breaks, and gatherings limited to no more than 10 workers (or government recommended limit) in an area.

• Limit the number of people traveling in hoists or elevators at one time so that social distancing may be maintained. Remove all outside coverings ton the hoist to promote good ventilation.

• Temporary Barriers may be erected as necessary and where practical to separate workers that must work in proximity.

• Recommend changing of clothes from street clothes to work clothes. o Street clothes are to be stored in a storage vessel (e.g. 10-gallon clear bag). o Work clothes should be washed twice a week and transported in the company provided storage vessel to and from the jobsite. Vessel must be sanitized with washing of clothes. o Tyvek suits can be used as an alternative change of clothes to work clothes.

OUT • Clean down your equipment, tools, and work areas.

• Personal washing of hands, etc.

• Recommend changing of work clothes (or removal of Tyvek suit) into street clothes.

NOTE: The Daily In & Out Protocol is used whenever someone comes onto the jobsite.

This would include lunch break or anytime someone leaves our controlled work area.

It is highly encouraged not to leave the jobsite until the end of your shift.

Cleaning & Hygiene • Respiratory etiquette includes covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or into your elbow, disposing of tissue properly, and / or cleaning the body part used to contain the cough / sneeze. o Avoid touching eyes / nose / mouth with unwashed hands.

• Hand-washing stations will be stocked with soap or sanitizer.

• Cleaning Supplies will be stored and available at the jobsite. o Examples include soap, bleach, cleaning agents, and sanitizer.

• Unless properly sanitized, do not share tools & equipment.

• Maintain cleaning records with daily logs that document date, time and scope of cleaning.

• Jobsite Cleaning: o Equipment, tools, and work areas are to be clean prior to working and after working. o Controlled areas and common areas will be cleaned daily. o Housekeeping and general daily work-created debris removed from the jobsite to be disposed of directly into the dumpster.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • A mask or respirator will be required to be worn properly at all times during work, regardless of task. o Re-usable masks and respirators to be stored in a labelled storage vessel, when not in use. o Disposable masks should be discarded after every use (e.g.: after lunch).

• Proper PPE training to occur prior to: job commencement, new work task, or for any new field personnel on boarded.

Social Distancing • Six (6) feet of distancing will be standard where possible, or as dictated by the work task.

• Usage of common areas will be staggered pre-shift / lunch / and post-shift to limit contact.

External Visitors • Restrict unnecessary personnel from job sites.

• “Visitors” include anyone that comes onsite that is not a daily field worker - includes project managers, engineers, building managers, vendors, NYC DOB, etc. o Excluded from visitor protocol are emergency responders.

• All visitors must: o Follow same procedure as the workers for their “Daily In & Out.” o Follow social distancing guidelines. o Wear the appropriate PPE. o Visitors should provide their own PPE, supplying visitors PPE will be on a case by case basis. o Project Superintendent will provide a list of appropriate PPE. o Enter during designated times- these designated times will be established to avoid congregation among the workers during pre & post shifts and breaks.

• Site inspections by engineer / architect / testing engineer / manufacturer’s rep. will be assigned a designated person to accompany them during inspection.

Vendors & Deliveries • Material and supplies will be delivered to the street side or sidewalk bridge to limit contact; if required to sign packing slips, use your own pen and do not touch the vendor’s writing pad.

• Delivery times will be restricted to avoid pre & post shifts and breaks.

• If a vendor is coming into controlled / common areas, they must follow visitor protocol.

Tenant Interaction • Tenant interaction will be limited to designated representatives of the company (a limited number of people) per jobsite will be assigned as designated representative. Examples of positions capable of being the designated representatives are onsite project superintendent, project foreman, and project manager). o All other field workers are to have no interaction with tenants, public, building personnel during working hours.

• When entering tenant space, employees must wear Tyvek suits (or similar) along with standard PPE.

It is highly encouraged not to leave the jobsite until the end of your shift.

RESPONDING TO A SUSPECTED OR CONFIRMED POSITIVE CASE OF COVID-19 If you have a suspected (symptoms) or confirmed case of COVID-19, you are required to take the following steps: 1. Remove the infected, or potentially infected, person from the workplace or jobsite Individuals with any symptoms (e.g.: cough, fever etc.) that develop at any time during the day, they must communicate with their supervisor. Before they depart, ensure you have a full list of potentially infected employees who should be sent home [i.e. individuals who have worked in close proximity (less than six feet) of them in the previous 14 days, or as per the latest CDC guidelines as published on their website], where both the individual case and their coworkers were not wearing the proper PPE or adhering to the proper guidelines to minimize exposure under the circumstances. For suspected cases (symptomatic), take the same precautions and treat the situation as if the suspected case is a confirmed case for purposes of sending home potentially infected employees.

2. Ensure a medical evaluation is completed The employee should contact their primary care physician to discuss the symptoms that they are experiencing and follow any orders given.

3. Investigate Just as you would investigate a workplace injury (e.g., slip and fall), you must do the same for COVID-19 suspected or confirmed cases, and document your investigation. Investigations will also assist in determining whether the confirmed case or exposure can be considered work-related.

COVID-19 can be a recordable illness if a worker is infected as a result of an event or exposure in the work environment. However, employers are only responsible for recording cases of COVID-19 if all of the following are met: a. The case is a confirmed case of COVID-19 (see CDC information on persons under investigation and presumptive positive, and laboratory-confirmed cases, of COVID-19); b. The case is work-related, as defined by 29 CFR 1904.5; and c. The case involves one or more of the general recording criteria set forth in 29 CFR 1904.7 (e.g., medical treatment beyond first aid, days away from work).

4. Identify corrective actions These items will include what measures should be put in to place to prevent further spreading of the virus on the jobsite or in the workplace, as well as future occurrences.

5. Establish a procedure to follow up Communicate a clear message to all involved as to the status of the suspected (symptomatic) or confirmed COVID-19 case, but do not communicate the name of affected individual(s) or specific medical diagnoses. Where there is a confirmed case of COVID-19, affected employees should be notified and encouraged to seek medical attention. If a suspected case tests negative, affected employees should be notified and encouraged to return work.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO INJURIES & ACCIDENTS 1. Injured worker to maintain PPE (if it doesn’t cause further injury).

2. Keep the injured worker calm and in the same area, wait for emergency services personnel to arrive.

3. Keep remaining workers away from the incident (avoid contamination and crowds).

4. Call 911 and have the emergency response professional arrive and address / handle the situation.

5. After the worker’s issue has been addressed by the emergency services personnel, if the presence of any of the following remains- bodily fluids, secretions, discarded PPE and any other hazardous condition- make certain that the individual cleaning the area(s) (including the path the emergency response professional took) wears the proper PPE to disinfect the area(s).

6. Disinfecting and disposing of discarded PPE: a. The individual cleaning the area(s) must wear the following PPE: Respirator / N95 Mask, latex / nitrile gloves covered by working gloves, safety glasses / face shield and a garbage receptacle lined with a plastic garbage bag for the disposal of discarded, soiled or questionable items (properly disposed of in the garbage). b. Disinfecting: Use 1 part bleach / 3 parts water to properly disinfect the area(s).

First: mop all floors for bodily fluids repeatedly until clean; keep replacing the cleaning solution with fresh product after all area(s) are clean.

Second: Clean all ancillary surfaces with a fresh solution and wipe down area(s).

Third: Dispose of the soiled mop, rags, soiled PPE and / or clothing, etc., in the garbage dumpster.

NOTICE TO WORKERS COVID-19 PREVENTION & PROTOCOLS In these difficult times we write to provide you with important information regarding COVID-19.

What WE are doing We are talking to GC’s, CM’s, Engineers, and / or Owners to encourage implementation of protocols to decrease the likelihood of exposure to COVID-19 on jobsites.

Efforts are being made to do the following: 1. Limit the number of people you come into contact with • Restrict unnecessary personnel from job sites.

• Perform shift work where possible or stagger start times.

• Limit the number of people in and around confined areas. o E.g.: hoists, shanties, entrances, exits o Staggered lunch, breaks, end of shifts, to groups of 10 o Limit or cancel meetings on site 2. Sanitize • Make hand-washing stations and sanitizer available.

• Regularly disinfect shanties, hoists and other common areas.

• Unless properly sanitized, do not share tools & equipment.

3. Identify Symptomatic Workers • At the direction of owners / CM’s, workers may be screened and temperature tested on site, if symptoms are present, they will not be permitted on site and will be directed to seek medical attention.

• Notify all on site if anyone has tested positive. Where workers have tested positive, sites will be shut down for industrial sanitization before reopening.

4. Use and Care of PPE • The provided PPE is to be worn consistently and properly at all times when at work. Assigned PPE will be stored properly when not in use.

• Masks / Respirators will be required to be worn constantly and properly at all times regardless of work task.

• Eye protection will be required to be worn at all times regardless of work task.

• Non-sterile disposable gloves or equivalent will be worn at all times during work task.

• Regularly inspect, maintain, and replace PPE as required.

• End of Day - properly remove, clean, store (labeled), or dispose of, to avoid contamination of others and the site.

• Absolutely NO sharing of PPE.

What YOU should do • Keep your distance per CDC guidelines, which as of this writing is set at a six (6) foot minimum between people.

• Keep your safety gear on at all times (gloves, mask, and goggles), especially when in confined spaces (shanty, hoist).

• Do not touch your face.

• Communicate - We can only address the conditions that we are aware of. Workers must communicate with their supervisor immediately upon seeing safety protocols (listed above) not being followed.

• No sharing of food, drink, cell phones, towels, personal tools at any time.

• Workers must properly clean after eating and / or using the restroom facilities. Properly clean surfaces with disinfectant and dispose of items in the garbage.

• Prior to leaving the job site, all garbage in the common area(s) and changing room(s) should be properly removed and disposed of in a debris container.

• Respiratory etiquette includes covering your coughs and sneezes with your elbow.

• Ensure that the shanty or room is left unlocked and accessible for cleaning crews. Secure valuables accordingly and organize your items properly.

• If a worker is injured, don’t touch the injured worker - call the foreman, who will call 911 and have the EMT personnel attend to the injured worker. The foreman will follow the cleanup protocols as set by the company for bodily fluid disinfectant clean up procedure • If a worker, at any time, develops symptoms, they must give notice and leave the site immediately.

Make Good Decisions It is our responsibility to do our best to make you aware of the risks, and to mitigate them as best we can. It is ultimately your choice whether to work, or not, based on your personal circumstances and comfort level.

• COVID-19 is a highly contagious virus that has been shown to affect people to varying degrees.

Some people have a mild response to infection, others may die from it. o If you have a compromised immune system, chronic respiratory illness or other serious health issues, you are at higher risk for a severe reaction if you contract COVID-19 and should consider staying home.

• If you think you might be sick or might have been exposed to someone who is sick, you MUST NOT come to work. Once exposed it can take up to two weeks to develop symptoms. You can spread the illness to others even when you do not have symptoms.

• If the risk of coming to work or being on the job site is something you are not comfortable with, we respect your decision to stay home.

• The Company understands the decision to continue working, or not, is a difficult one. Please know that you will not be penalized if you do not come to work due to COVID-19 health issues or concerns. o If you do not intend to come to work please follow the proper protocol to give notice to your project superintendent.

PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRE The following questions need to be answered and documented by all employees and visitors prior to allowing access to the workplace and / or jobsite. Documentation will be incorporated to the on-site daily log. The Project Superintendent or designated Checkpoint Administrator has been trained to administer this session. These questions will be asked on a daily basis until further notice, even if the employee / visitor has received a negative COVID-19 test result in the past.

Have you, or anyone in your household, come into close contact (within 6 feet) with someone who has had a suspected or confirmed COVID–19 diagnosis in the past 14 days (whether at home, on a jobsite, etc.), while not taking the necessary precautions as outlined by the CDC (e.g., wearing a facemask, washing hands and / or not touching mouth / nose / eyes if coming into contact with potentially contaminated surfaces)?

“YES” ANSWERS: If an employee, visitor, or vendor answers ‘Yes’ to any of the questions above, they must leave the workplace or job site immediately and seek a medical evaluation.

Additionally, they should strongly consider following the tips provided below. As employees arrive at work, and during their daily evaluation, they should be observed for symptoms (including: coughing, excessive sweating, shortness of breath, difficulty talking or breathing) and must be immediately removed from the job site and sent home with the recommendation that they should see a doctor and / or be tested for COVID-19, if such testing is available.

HEALTH CERTIFICATIONS In the event that I, or anyone in my household, or anyone that I have come into close contact with (less than 6 feet) in the absence of appropriate PPE and / or adherence to CDC guidelines, has had a fever (higher than 100°F / 38°C) and / or symptoms consistent with COVID-19 [including, but not limited to: a dry cough that has continued for more than one day; difficulty breathing; unusual fatigue; persistent pain of pressure in the chest; bluish lips, face or extremities; confusion, inability to awaken; loss of consciousness; or any other symptom set forth by the CDC (www.cdc.gov), I certify that: a. I have had no fever for at least 72 hours (that is three full days of no fever without the use of medicine that reduces fevers); AND b. Other symptoms have improved (for example, cough or shortness of breath have improved); AND c. At least 7 days have passed since any such symptoms (if any) first appeared; AND d. If I’ve had no symptoms, at least 14 days have passed since my exposure to any such individual who has presented with these symptoms.

In the event that I have been diagnosed with COVID-19, I certify that: a. I no longer have a fever (without medicine that reduces fevers); AND b. Other symptoms have improved (for example, when cough or shortness of breath have improved); AND c. I have received two negative tests in a row, at least 24 hours apart; OR d. If testing is not currently available: i. at least 7 days have passed since any such symptoms first appeared; AND ii. I have had no fever without the use of fever-reducing medicine for at least 72 hours;, AND iii. my other symptoms have improved (for those who have had no symptoms, at least 7 days have passed since the date of their first positive COVID-19 diagnostic test and they have had no subsequent illness and they remain asymptomatic).

4. COMPANY EFFORTS a. No visitor access will be granted to the work premises without prior approval, and only when absolutely necessary. b. Ensure that the work premises will be kept clean and sanitized with hospital grade disinfectants on a daily basis. c. Provide signs with important health information and hand sanitizer dispensers will be available throughout the facility. d. The availability of remote access, software and applications, such as video and / or telephone conferencing, electronic document signing and other electronic means and methods, and that it will be utilized to the greatest extent practicable in order to minimize physical contact between different persons during this time.

5. CONSENT / ASSUMPTION OF RISK a. Company will endeavor to provide employee, whether on-site or at the office, with appropriate safety PPE. However, Company cannot assure employee that the PPE to be provided will be effective, of sufficient quality, or available in sufficient quantities. b. As such, employee acknowledges and agrees that he, she, they will go to work or the job site at their own risk. c. Employee further states and acknowledges that contraction of the virus could happen at locations other than on-site or at the Company office(s). Employee agrees to take measures to protect himself / herself / themselves, including but not limited to social distancing, hand washing, avoidance of facial touching, etc., and as otherwise recommended by Governmental health professionals. d. As an additional safety measure, essential employees still coming to the office or job site should monitor their temperature daily. You agree to take your temperature in the morning and evening to ensure you do not have a fever (fever 100°F / 38°C or above) before coming to work. We are asking employees to take responsibility to self-monitor to protect themselves and the health and safety of their colleagues. e. All employees may be required to submit to temperature testing or such other measures or testing as Company reasonably determines to be necessary. Any employee who has a fever of higher than 100°F / 38°C or shows visual symptoms consistent with CDC guidelines, may, in the sole discretion of the Company supervisor, be asked to go home and may not be permitted to enter the work site or Company office. You consent to this testing and to this protocol and procedure.

This form / agreement, and all information provided to Company and its HR Department shall remain strictly confidential except in a circumstance required by law, legal process or to enforce or construe the provisions of this agreement. b. This form / agreement shall survive termination of employment, bankruptcy of the Company, death, disability, or further Governmental order or directive. c. This form / agreement is binding upon the employee and his / her / their representatives, executors, administrators, assigns. d. This form / agreement is binding upon the Company, its affiliates, its associated entities, and its / their successors and / or assigns.
